Nobody has mentioned the big difference between what Suarez said and John Terry. Suarez said a Spanish term which apparently is not offensive and is commonplace in South America and is actually used by commentators there etc (and I mean credible commentators rather than their equivalent of Big Ron). This does not appear to have been taken into account in calculating the length of his ban, surely. John Terry's comment was, IMO, a lot worse and wholly inexcusable. Despite this I fully expect Terry to receive a more lenient ban, that is if he doesn't escape punishment altogether.

I predict that England will once embarass the nation at the Euros but the GB team that will be put together for the Olympics will do very well.

My guess has always been that life elsewhere in the universe would be fairly similar to the story of life on this planet ie. single-cell organisms morphing into complex life forms given the right conditions and just a smidgeon of luck. It would be awesome to see how other planets' life systems compare to our own, especially if their evolutionary processes are similar and in fact go beyond their equivalent of humans - how weird would that be!! For those of you that say the universe must be teeming with life, I tend to agree and I want to agree but you should check out the lonely earth theory for balance - the presence of complex life structures on earth is due to many many variables being just right. But as Adrian says, if you buy an almost infinite number of lottery tickets....

Spot on mate - we're going to see Lallana and Lambo at their absolute best and inspiring others to beat the skates. I can't see a single player of ours bottling it. They'd love to come away with a win for the fans and with the quality in the team there's no reason why they won't. COYRAWM

We're still on course to get an everage of 2 points a game - promotion form. Given our away form however i don't understand why NA doesnt change things and just attack the hell out of teams. I would rather go down fighting. I think our tight pitch at SMS helps us and large away pitches can be our downfall but we really should be doing better with the players we have.

IMO there are gentle racist undertones around the ground and that explains the abuse. Think about the other players that have consistently been given stick over the past five years or so and what do most of them have in common? Also think about some of the players they played with who were much worse than them and yet got hardly any stick and what do they have in common? As a fan, the stick certain players get makes me feel uncomfortable but I have had to accept this and I take great pleasure aiming my adoration for Guly in the face of the nearest mong every time he scores. I have no doubt that some posters will disagree with my view. Fine. It is just my opinion based on hundreds of incidents over the past few seasons and I do not accept this is just coincidence.

I disagree with the OP. I think that team would struggle as it did vs Palace in the cup. I have generally been unimpressed with the team when wholesale changes have been made in both pre-season and during the season. I think we have good strength in depth and if one or two players get injured or suspended (with the exception of Lambert) we will be fine, but I would not be so confident if a large number of changes were made.

Caffeine works for me but then I dont drink tea or coffee and so I have not built up a tolerance towards it. Yes, those other drugs do help 'unlock' parts of your brain that might not often use or at least use in the same way but such 'unatural' stimulation is always likely to lead to a crash of sorts.
