I don't think you should consider the protection of tradition / history with progression or lack of. I don't think they are directly related, and I only mean off the pitch traditions. Having said that my cut-off would be the team leaving the city/county to play elsewhere. Another cut-off would be an amalgamation with Pompey.

If we don't think we can win games then let's volunteer for relegation and save everyone a lot of time and money! So, of course our capitain should talk of winnable games - no issue for me.

I lived in Switzerland for several years, after living in the Midlands. This was before Sky and the internet, and as the Suomi Saint said the only way to keep was via the world service on a Satruday afternoon when they would broadcast live from a game during the second half, or by buying an English Sunday paper (I had to drive up to Zurich to get one on the day otherwise I could one one or two days later from my local shop). I had one other connection. Before leaving the UK I was a member of Midland Saints, and they used to publish a monthly newsletter with detailed match reports. I managed to persuade them to send it to me in Switzerland for a few years - God bless them!!! If any of them read this message then please accept my thanks, you kept me sane for a few years!

You've got it wrong. He only plays 70 mins so he can get off the pitch and be the first in the bath. Actually he runs the bath, fact!

For me a 5 out of 10. He threatens to tantalise us with his skills but always seems to run into trouble, he tires to dribble past one too many players. However, as another poster said, he generates excitement (at least for me) when he's on the team sheet. Some serious work on him in the summer and hopefully he'll dleiver an 7 to 8 out of 10 next season.

Not sure that's true. I have many American colleagues who watch live games at the week-end and see a lot of the PL - they do appreciate what's going on.

Depends on dates as to which ones I will actually do, but will target WBA, Hull, Swansea, Sunderland, Liverpool and City.
