  1. I saw the irony of Alex being the one to nobble him but not sure if that was the injury he went off with eventually.
  2. absolutely, he has been incredible the past month or so.
  3. i think we will see him again but I really can't see it being this season. Many players when returning from a long, long layoff such as this get little muscle injuries when they are close to playing again. If RK is now talking about February it only needs one more set back and that's as good as the season over, he's going to need a fair few reserve matches or behind closed door friendlies to get anywhere near Premiership fit. I don't think he will play in the first team until pre season.......now wether that pre season is with us remains to be seen !
  4. The National Press like the top 6 to be the big guns - Chelsea, United, City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs - always have done, sells more papers etc. You watch what happens as soon as we start losing a few. I agree, it is pathetic but, in the words of our manager "that's football"
  5. Unbelievable, can't these bloody pundits do a little bit of research ffs.
  6. Guaranteed starter for England then !!
  7. Toby for me but obviously both please
  8. It's beyond belief.
  9. What was going on with Koeman having a blanket on his lap all afternoon then........at least that's what it looked like from The Kingsland
  10. funny you should say that, I was a kid back when that was the case and through the bad times I always used to wish I had been older in the early eighties to appreciate it better. Well now I can really appreciate what's going on cos this run has been one of my highlights as a Saints fan for over 35 years !
  11. City haven't been brilliant away from home for over a season, Arsenal, well you never know which one you are gonna face , they are like a split personality, and Man Utd ? Hardly strike fear anymore do they ?
  12. Better than I could have hoped, well done QPR
  13. So would I. I expect their great managers like Shankly and Paisley are spinning in their graves at that team selection. disgraceful, resting players in a Champions League match ? I cannot believe Liverpool fans are happy about this at all.
  14. we want them to stay as many points as possible behind us. Chelsea and City will finish 1st and 2nd, we can aim for third though
  15. Jamie Carragher said on Monday Night Football that we have no chance of finishing top 6 cos United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs and Everton will all come good. Thats good enough for me, Jamie knows best
  16. Didn't they buy one of the Mills brothers from us ? Matt Mills is it ? other than that Phil Boyer and Graham Baker in the early eighties are the last ones I can think of too.
  17. this guy has basically screwed them up by making too many changes and losing their best player. It always takes at least a dozen games to get so many changes settled in to a team.......oh, wait, no that's not true anymore is it ?
  18. I would love to know what Lovren, Lallana and to a lesser extent Rickie think when they hear our results and look at the league table. Not the bull crap for the press, Lallana's "delighted for them" quote from the other week but what they actually think, they must talk about it in training etc.
  19. Yes I agree, they don't seem to have worked out he has a great football brain and is much better than just being at the end of one of Stevie G's oh so bloody marvellous 40 yd hit and hope passes !
  20. totally agree, my sentiments exactly.
  21. Good that we have no mid week match, chance for players to shake off the fatigue that three tough matches will have bought.
  22. I cannot believe Levy would sign a player for big money who has been out for 6 months with a major injury before knowing and seeing he is as good as he was before that injury. I would also like to believe that Jay feels he owes Southampton for nursing him back to health but my confidence in footballers having any sort of loyalty or scruples was badly hit during the summer.
  23. Because from the mid 70s for about 15 years it truly was......but you would have to be old like me to know that
  24. As stated above Harry doesn't do much of the training. I would be asking him what all his mates, Jordan and Bond in particular, actually do and why just one of them is incapable of getting the players fit !
  25. RK appears to agree too more importantly
