And he's been replaced by their version of Stuart Gray / Steve Wigley. Good luck Barca. (and of course I know that Guardiola himself came through the ranks, but at least people had heard of him and he still had a lot of respect from when he was a player)

I'm not so sure that it's being on the TV that's the problem, it's more the unusual kickoff times. Our record in Saturday 3pm and Tuesday 7.45pm matches is dramatically better than games played at other times. Hence our big drop in form through the Winter when we didn't have a 3pm Saturday game for something like 4 months.

He might be being a bit insensitive for our poor little fans, but he's clearly right in what he says. After the 7th game of the season, when we beat Brum 4-1, we were 11 points clear of Reading. Therefore since then they've been 14 points better, that's clearly a lot better than us since that point in time. I'd still argue we've been the best team over the course of the whole season, but I guess we'll find out next Saturday. Incidentally Boro were 2nd at that time, 1 point behind us.

Club Finance Story - On Solent from 7am this morning

Agreed. Also, weren't about half of those loans related to the initial purchase of the club? It's not all operating losses as some seem to think . -
Are you me? I could have written that exact same post, word for word.

Venus and Jupiter according to the Google Sky Map app on my phone.

I know Saints have been involved in the trials for goal line technology, and they've been testing it for some time at Staplewood. Today I noticed that there are a number (12 or so) of cameras fitted to the roof of the stadium, pointing at the pitch so they aren't cctv. I'm thinking they may be the cameras that are used for Hawkeye. Having seen that goal QPR weren't given today, it's about time they brought something in.

Mine was also sent and delivered today. Looking up the serial number it appears to be a refurb but I'm ok with that. They were obviously awaiting a shipment before they could send a load out to people.

Why not? You said yourself there's only a 0.05% chance of a man getting HIV from a woman through having sex. Much lower odds than a mother giving it to her child which you seem to be suggesting is an acceptable level of risk?
-
Why would they need to go down the IVF route? Surely if they want children they can just have sex?

I bought a white one of these from Amazon last week for £149. Lenovo A1. Good price for a tablet from a proper manufacturer. Seems good so far, has GPS so can be used as a sat nav. They seem to be out of white ones at the moment and black and blue are £169. Could always go for a pink one..... http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00625BHJA/ref=noref?ie=UTF8&s=computers&psc=1

It's just a loan window. Ignore the 'emergency' bit, that word was just inserted to placate UEFA.

All their bookings for coach travel are going directly through Lucketts as well, no-one trusts Pompey to pass on any money owed to them.
-
I'd probably have gone but the headliners put me right off. Any one of them on their own would have been fine but as oldskoolsi says it's very samey. Should have mixed it up a bit more.

I'd say that's exactly what's required here. Stick to the letter of the law and they'll have no chance, none of this 'football is a special case' nonsense.....
-
Yeah it was the start of the Sky era. They used to do things like that every game (bands at half time, fireworks etc). Nowadays you wouldn't even know the game was being televised if it wasn't for the stupid kick off time, the experience in the ground is no different to any other game.
-
May also indicate why Redknapp didn't fit in here. Think about it, if you are incentivised on a percentage of net profit made on the difference between the price paid for a player and the price he's sold for, it's in your interest to turn your squad over on a regular basis. It's most definitely not in your interest to bring youth players through the ranks (Lowe's approach), as they wouldn't be included in your bonus scheme.....

May have been mentioned already, but this is our first Saturday 3pm game at home since November 19th (3-0 win against Brighton). I honestly don't think all the early/late kick offs since then have helped us. I know personally I always feel a bit detached at lunchtime and teatime matches, and I'd say that the atmosphere tends to be worse. Starting Saturday we have a run of games at 'traditional' kick off times, hopefully this will coincide with us coming back into form.

Same for me, although with 13th January. Not really expecting that to change for a few weeks yet, seems to take a couple of months to get a replacement.

Holmes more likely. Adkins had already said that Holmes was likely to go somewhere this month. SDR adds far more than Holmes.

This may be a whoosh moment by me, but that article is from the last winding up petition, not this one.

I can't see that Pompey would ever be able to play at Moneyfields. Even if they were to restart in non-league, AFC Pompey would attract a couple of thousand fans and the Moneyfields site is too constrained to ever cope with that amount of people. They'd have to play at H&W or maybe Fareham.
