They are matching Apple's own Black Friday price cut today.

The amount of people coming into the country didn't change, it's just that less people left. I'd imagine the amount of people moving to the med for their retirement has dropped considerably since southern europe's economies went down the toilet.

I'd have gone if it wasn't for the bubble. I can't be bothered with all the hassle to get to a ground that I could walk to in 15 minutes.

Lambert plays 90 minutes nearly every game because we don't have anyone else who can perform the same sort of role. It would be nice to be able to take him off and give him a rest every so often. Juke would enable us to do that.
-
Whistle definitely went. Lambert even looked at the ref as if to say 'can I really take it?' before he shot.

That's clever of them, as we don't even have a membership scheme.......

Old fella who sits in front of me was moaning all match on Tuesday, did my head in.

Why does ebay seem to think it sold for £430 and your first post says it went for £550?

I quite like: His name's De Ridder he's the Knight To The Rhythm Of The Night by Corona. De Ridder is Dutch for the Knight apparently. Need a bit more 90's dance music in the stands.

Bournemouth in their League 2 season a couple of years ago. Went from nearly dropping out of the football league to getting promoted, with a transfer embargo in place the whole time.

I had 2 unused children's season tickets last night. Evening games are too late for little ones.

Bloody annoyed about this. Turns a short stroll up the road to Fratton Park for me into a pointless trek up and down the motorway. Think I'll probably just end up watching on TV now.

It should be remembered that there is a course / book which contains all the information that these questions relate to. So basically it's a test of your ability to learn and remember facts. We are attempting it 'blind'. Having said that, it's a pointless test. I don't see how knowing these things would make you a good citizen.

Middlesbrough are this years Huddersfield. People give too much credence to remaining unbeaten. Too many draws will be their undoing, their matches must be dull. I'd rather watch our 9 goals for and 6 against in September than their 3 goals for and none against.
-
Appreciate logistically it's not really possible, but I wish they had more latitude around which matches to show extended highlights of so they could actually choose the more exciting games. Leeds Pompey was quite dull. In fact, even before the match I wouldn't have understood why they felt a mid-table clash justified 10 minutes or so of highlights.

How many events do they contractually have to play in anyway? I was under the impression that most of the events apart from the masters series (9 tournaments, best of 3 sets) and the grand slams (5 tournaments, best of 5 sets) were voluntary. So they could have most of the year off if they really wanted. Don't the Williams sisters choose not to play very often (when they are fit)?

Someone had better tell Jack Cork to bugger off then.

We've been bucking the trend for Carling Cup attendances for a few years now, I guess we've just dropped down to the same sort of level as most other teams. I have to say, as a season ticket holder early round cup games have little appeal to me.

Cotterill is making himself look like a right idiot. Just watched the football league show, and Lawrences first booking (which Cotterill said shouldn't have been a yellow) could easily have been a straight red. So could the second one. Steve should be thanking the ref for his player only getting a one match ban rather than the three games he should have got.

I thought he played well. Good presence, nice and strong. Will also give us something extra at the other end of the pitch as well. With Richardson to come in at right back, that defence will do a good job.
-
You did get the answer to the original question wrong though. I can't believe no-one has picked you up on that.
-
Could do with getting these two out though, 100 partnership, 233/6.
-
I have also met him on a night out, whilst I was hammered on a stag do. He happily posed for photos with the Stag (who is a Pompey fan). He was a good laugh.
-
To be fair, we did lose Chamberlain. Which is why I guess people were expecting a big signing or two with the money that transfer brought in.

Funnily enough I recently read an article (can't remember where) which stated the opposite. It said that it was better for the defending team for there to be as many players in the box as possible, as it reduced the space for attackers to run into. It said that teams have a better chance of scoring from a corner if they hold a few players back. Not saying I agree, just that I found it interesting as that seems to have been the approach we've taken over the last season or so.
