You did get the answer to the original question wrong though. I can't believe no-one has picked you up on that.

Could do with getting these two out though, 100 partnership, 233/6.

I have also met him on a night out, whilst I was hammered on a stag do. He happily posed for photos with the Stag (who is a Pompey fan). He was a good laugh.

To be fair, we did lose Chamberlain. Which is why I guess people were expecting a big signing or two with the money that transfer brought in.

Funnily enough I recently read an article (can't remember where) which stated the opposite. It said that it was better for the defending team for there to be as many players in the box as possible, as it reduced the space for attackers to run into. It said that teams have a better chance of scoring from a corner if they hold a few players back. Not saying I agree, just that I found it interesting as that seems to have been the approach we've taken over the last season or so.

Unfortunately I think it turned out to be alright in the end.

Anyone know how this would work: My dad falls into the 'cull' of seniors (he's 63) and now counts as an adult. He now qualifies to get a free kids ticket (we are already in the Chapel and I get an under 8 ticket free already with my season ticket). Will they let him get this additional seat now, or would it not count as a renewal?

That should have said p1ss

Sounds like this is one thing that Portsmouth is quite good at. I guess they are used to dealing with rubbish.... We get a weekly rubbish collection, and they work bank holidays so you never have the day shifted. We don't have wheely bins for our rubbish (do for recycling). Maybe the money they save by making people buy their own bins enables them to provide a decent service.

I could perhaps see that, if we were doing well in the premier league, we might require a ground holding around 40k. However it would cost a huge amount to add those extra 8k seats, it makes no sense financially at all.

Paula Radcliffe has never won an Olympic medal, so your point doesn't really make any sense.

I've got the same, morning session on the 4th August. Like you say, should get to see some of the big names in athletics so should be good.

Saints academy seems to churn out identikit blonde five foot nine players, so maybe we're already doing this?

I think it's more to do with the weight on the foundations. When they built St Mary's the archeological dig showed lots of artifacts a short distance below the ground. Most of them are still there, and the depth of the foundations was reduced to avoid damaging them. Those foundations wouldn't be able to cope with additional weight on the Itchen Stand. That's how it was reported at the time, anyway.

Keep the text on one line. Two lines looks messy.

Is that other fanzine that some guys started last season still going?

There's a Lacoste outlet store at Gunwharf. Doesn't help Dune though as I don't think he lives locally.

The Festing in Southsea has Takeaway Thursdays. You provide your own takeaway, they give you cutlery and plates. Quite a good idea. -
Love the home kit, away kit isn't very good.

Ordered tickets for 4 events and have got one of them. All tickets I chose were the same price, so just have to wait and see now whether we'll be going to athletics, tennis, gymnastics or equestrian.

I get something similar. For the past week or so I've been waking up around 4am every night. Pretty sure it's stress-related. I've got some pills from when the same thing happened before christmas, but I've been hoping it will pass naturally. It's very annoying though, just feel like crap all the time.

Tsk, blooming idiots......

Yesterday's votes could have massive implications for the future of this country. SNP look likely to get a majority in Scotland. If they do, they will hold a referendum on independence. By the time of the next general election Scotland could be a separate country. That would take away a large chunk of Labour mp's from the UK parliament. Previous elections show that the Conservatives hold a clear majority in England, and their vote seems to have held up well yesterday. We could be in line for a generation of Conservative government. Obviously I'm excluding Wales from this, where Labour are still strong, but I believe Wales has a much smaller amount of mp's?

He must be starting to get a bit embarrassed about his rant that the world will see how far they finished ahead of us when they look at the league table in years to come. Gone from something like 16 points a few weeks ago to 5 now.
