  1. Plus the site is of archeological importance, we had to have shallow foundations etc when the stadium was built so that there wasn't much disturbance. That would create more problems if anyone ever wanted to redevelop the site. And of course there's probably still contamination from it's previous use.
  2. The BIC is All Inclusive. Free local beers and spirits, and a buffet restaurant.
  3. Apology accepted.
  4. The awful thing is, that's all designer clobber she's wearing. CR7 is Cristiano's own range of clothing by the way.
  5. Can you name any of these thousands and thousands of people though? Do they get front page and prime time exposure?
  6. The plan to build a store the size of Tesco North Harbour on a site half the size? The expectation that they will have planning permission by the summer despite the leader of Portsmouth city council stating that it's not in their power to grant permission for the supermarket so it will have to go before central government?
  7. We weren't in the bottom three at all last season until the last fortnight.
  8. I've done it a couple of times, had an email in my inbox this morning inviting me to apply for this year. I think I'll probably do it, it's pretty much at the end of my road and any training I do is along the route they use, so I may as well. Just wish it wasn't so expensive to enter.
  9. Ah ok, understood.
  10. No problem. What surprises me, having looked on Pompey forums, is that none of them seem to have realised that the supermarket plan doesn't seem to add up.
  11. That's what I meant when I said they'd just spent a load of money on it. It's still not particularly big, much less food than somewhere like Tesco North Harbour. Either way, I can't see why they would want to move to Fratton Park. Looking around Google maps some more, that plot is smaller than Sainsbury at Commercial Road, and that's a poxy little shop.
  12. http://maps.google.co.uk/?ie=UTF8&ll=50.798049,-1.07269&spn=0.009494,0.021887&t=h&z=16 Here's what I mean about the supermarket. The bit of land just to the left of Fratton on that map is the only possible place you could put a decent sized building. Compare it's size to the B&Q site (the big white roof and massive car park). It would be big enough to put an Asda sized building (Asda is further left, halfway up), but maybe not it's car park. That Asda isn't very big, and the rumour has always been that they were the company who wanted to build at Fratton. Not sure why they'd move to a new store the same size as the one they've already got, especially as they've just spent money doing that shop up.
  13. Surely this announcement spells the end of any plans for a 'new' ground? Rebuilding the stadium will cost probably 15-20 million. You aren't going to spend money like that only to knock it down a couple of years later. Not sure I understand this supermarket plan either. With a stadium on the site there's not a lot of room left to build a supermarket.
  14. I got main arena as well. What are non main arena then? Seems to cover most areas.
  15. Good stuff, just bought a couple.
  16. This is about the third thread on it.

But they are in Austria, why would they be speaking English?
  18. A sinking ship.
  19. Is it new people doing the re-opening then?
  20. Best way is to buy the freehold between you, then you can do whatever you want. Might cost a bit though. We got lucky and the freeholder came to us and offered to sell it for about £1500 each (4 flats).
  21. Pixies now announced playing the Sunday as well.
  22. I thought he was buying an MLS team/franchise?
  23. Wherever you get them from, would you deny that they are illegally hacked codes?
  24. Maybe because Derby had won 6 and drawn 1 of their previous 7 games.
  25. Surprised this offer didn't have more of an effect on the attendance. Having said that, I spoke to season ticket holders last night who weren't even aware of the deal.
