Different people laugh at different things. If the point is to make Batman laugh rather than provide money for good causes then I think there is something wrong here. Also if the amount raised is dependent on the amount of laughs provided, we are missing the point big time.
-
I guess some people here base a players' value on the speed at which he is poached by a "bigger" club. Those that don't go are clearly rubbish and not wanted elsewhere. Just a few weeks ago there was much wrist slitting about the club captain leaving for another club. Davis is the club captain. He also captains his national team. He has been an integral part in our continual improvement since he has been here. He is a decent player.
-
Rooney is not in the current squad so cant be our captain in the next two matches.
-
I think you are missing the point of Red Nose Day. It is supposed to raise money for charitable causes, not give you a laugh.
-
Remind me again, is Puel still here? Only you did say that he would be gone by Christmas.

In Franny's case I don't think it was a case of his head not being turned, it was more a question of no one else wanting him!
-
I think Mings has been hard done by. He was looking away seemed to be trying to clear the huddle. Very hard to prove intent from the footage. Not so hard to prove intent from Ibrahimovic so why does one get 3 matches and the other 5?

Ross Wilson appointed as Director of Scouting & Recruitment

So Puel is still here despite you saying he would be gone by Christmas and Wilson is going to stay. Not a great track record is it Batman? -
Tell that to Long John Silver.

Who Do We Choose To Ship Out This Summer?

Love this thread. The same people who soil their mattresses when certain players are rumoured to be wanted by other clubs peddling players that THEY don't want here. So it is ok if they go if you don't rate them, but not so if you do? I hope JRod doesn't read this thread. Talk about going from hero to zero! -
Fonte did well for us and we did well for him. Sadly the more he tries to justify himself the deeper the hole he digs. His agent and his new club should tell him to shut up. For me he has just confirmed all of the negative things said about him since he returned from the Euros. He was a decent player for us, but he really doesn't seem very bright.

Another 4 goals away from home. Not too shabby. We go through periods where we switch off though. Look excellent going forward!
-
Even if we had taken the game "seriously" there is no guarantee that we would have won it. And I stand to be corrected but if we had got through that round, would we have had the same number in the draw as Arsenal?
-
We lost the match a short while before when Arsenal took us apart in the league. WGS bottled his team selection and played it safe. Kevin Davis wasn't even on the bench. I certainly got the impression that it was more about not being humiliated again than trying to win it.
-
You would think so wouldn't you? It is not difficult to pick a colour that is completely different and will not clash with the home side's kit. There shouldn't be the need for a third strip (unless it is a one off special occasion).
-
Call me old fashioned but no stripes, no Saints. They have been playing in stripes for most of their existence and I still think there is a place for tradition in football. Having said that I prefer the Sunday strip to the drab black and grey kit.

Yep, always better to have a blinkered view rather than an open mind. Nothing like sticking to a negative viewpoint no matter what. Enjoy the game yesterday?

And the winner for the Alpine Every Silver Lining Has a Cloud Award goes to........

What a great performance. Very proud of the club. With Virgil we probably would have won today. Excellent performance.
-
But you have said they are only one point off of the relegation places so clearly not better than that. Why not. He is clearly a decent manager and if they did go down could well take them straight back up. Remember a manager called Lawrie McMenemy and what happened with him? I assume that if Leicester won the league then they would stay up???
-
Same could be said of your comment.

Yet Stephens managed to struggle through both semi finals against Liverpool. Why should he freeze? Is Wembley going to be that much more intimidating than Anfield? Perhaps it might help the lad grow in confidence?
