I work a stones throw from St Marys and there are loads of tv cameras up there at the moment.

I'm not near a tv though, so I am wondering what all the fuss is about.

The media are obviously expecting something to happen...unlike the rest of us...

They are filming a new series of Challenge Anneka.

She has 5 days to turn St Marys into a baboon sanctuary.

Probably just local TV doing a piece on the bid falling apart, and staff remaining unpaid.

Likely to be 3 teams of camera crews.

1 from Meridian and 1 BBC South Today for their normal Saints piece for the evening news in the sports report that they do every day and 1 from Sky as they are following the story over the past few days.

By no means does it mean anything is about to happen.

He said that Pinnacle have assured him that they are ready to press the button as soon as they get the problem solved with FL. So nothing has changed there then.

I bit like me saying I'll be ready to sign as soon as I sort out the problem with my lack of a lottery win!

BILL SHIET alert frankly - the -10 is not a problem when put in perspective of staff and players not ebing paid and teh club folding - Looks like an excuse to me to delay things whilst scrambling for teh cash?

Come you Swiss.

right I'm leaving now, I will amble past, see if I can get someone to interview me, in one of those "voice of the fans" kind of ways.

Actually I am suited and booted, so a pair of dark shades and briefcase, should get someone running and asking me if I am the money man....

Nice idea CherryMilk!

This whole saga is heading for the sort of conclusion that we all anticipated, feared and hoped would never happen taht nobody wants to buy Saints at anything like the money that Fry & Co seem to be asking for. So what comes next?

Looks alarmingly like we will be passed into the hands of the receiver who will try to sell the bits off for as much as 'he' can get. Maybe Pinnacle will try to buy Saints FC without the overhang of the SMS and try to run the team at a local ground (Eastleigh / Staplewood?) unless or until somebody else buys SMS with the possibility of a rental deal being set up.

Who would want it 'though apart from avaricious property speculators is anybody's guess, certainly Southampton City Council won't be spending public money on such frivolities in the wake of all that has gone before in the financial markets and expenses of public servants. If I was a non-footie fan, so would I say "Bugger that for a plate of chips"

I am genuinely afraid guys, for the first time the thought of extinction looks very, very real indeed.
