As he works for the navy is he not really a skate in disguise even if he does say he lives in Plymouth he must have spent a lot of time in Skateville.

He is just winding true Saints fans up ignore the little (and he must be if he is on submarines) Shi te house.

what..?

do think pardew should go then..?

and no, I spend no time in skatesville..infact, i have spent the grand total of about 9 weeks there in 10 years..

to be honest, I have no idea what you felt the need to bring up my job in this..

strange

Anyone that can still defend 3 points from 15 is as daft as someone saying AP should go.

Our start is pathetic, but AP should be given time (at least 2 years im) - he has proved before that he can deliver.....i'm sure he is as frustrated as us.

Doesnt help us fans feeling disappointed.....expected much more.

no I dont think he should go

and your job was brought up because you work for the navy ie Skatesville maybe you secrectly support them after being indoctrinated at one of their seminars or team building things that they have. and being alongside all those other skates in the under water world.

as this is my last post for 24 hours i should mention my mother was a skate and brother worked on the same vessels as TDD for the RN and they are both suspect.

saints are always poor starters, the team will under ap get where we expect them to be eventually.weve had too many managers and now have to give one the chance.we really are starting in a division that is hard, look at leeds, forest.hard to get out of.keep the faith ap will deliver.coyr

Lawrie took us down before our best spell in our history, Ferguson was crap at the start for Man U before their best spell. Lowe employed a manager a year before our worst spell ever.

Its easy really - Pardew should be to get on with it for his entire contract?

Can someone please explain what the f*ck that smiley is supposed to mean? Have you and TDD got nits?

And obviously anyone calling for AP to leave is certifiable. So maybe that was TDD's intention - to smoke out the loonies.

I was on record as being "underwhelmed" when AP was appointed (and boy what stick I got..) but I do not want Pardew out. For one he has started to put right what was wrong and is trying to recreate a serious club again. First of all he has re-established a credible scouting system ( I cannot believe the previous muppets had let that slip soooo badly), secondly, he has/is getting rid of those players who earned shedloads but delivered very little (Razz for one), and yes despite the results we are beginning to get a team that isnt rolling over so easily. The man has a lot to do, I intend to give him time to attempt to deal with what is a very very difficult job turning around this shambles. I agree with another poster from an earlier thread this week, we may just be bottoming out at long last. AP appears to have no pretentions and knows that the progression is to

a) start winning

b) see the end of minus points

c) get out of the bottom 4

all of the above are huge psychological barriers to break through.

Good luck Mr. P, despite my misgivings you have MY support.

Same ere

I don't want him out, just want him to perform better, and had expected him to

Totally agree and I dont like him blaming referees either

It is diffuclt enough to referee matches without the constant whine of managers.

WGS was appalling when he took over - for about 3 months as I recall.

6 years. We need consistency. If there is one BIG lesson from Lowe's fiasco of leadership over the past 14 years it is that in football you need consistent management.

I thought you had a Wotte out campaign going sometime ago.

But I do agree with your sentiments that is why I wanted to keep Wotte.

Although if managers are not succeeding they should move on if given the chance like Jones and Burley

FFS...

Wotte should have gone along with his fellow dutchman, they were both part

of the clueless coaching set up installed by Lowe...

shhhh Ginge and Revolution dont like people to agree with my 'negative thinking'

Seeing as you brought my name up.....what I find ridiculous is that there was no point to your whining and complaining. There was nothing constructive apart from a toddler like cry of "but I want to win". We played better yesterday (by all accounts) and should have won. Of course it's frustrating and of course it's taking longer than we'd like but it is what it is - a job in progress.

If you'd complained about the signings, the team selection or anything else then you would have an opinion and something to justify it. Yesterday you did nothing but moan without anything to back it up. If you feel we should have won then obviously you feel that something that hasn't been done should have, or that mistakes have been made. What are they?

There is no denying that even allowing for the lack of pre-season preparation Pardew's results have not been good enough.

No point thinking about managerial change yet but if results are still this bad in a months time I expect Cortese to start wondering if he is the right person for the job.

With Pardew's appointment there was always a chance of a Burley type situation where a manager comes in with a big reputation who is more interested in the paypacket than working hard.

I've got him on ignore, so only see his posts when quoted by someone else.......same old stevie I see!!!!!!.

You won't get an explaination from him, or DD/Glasgow Saint/19/John B etc etc, they don't have answers, they just troll on here, looking for a rise. Alas, I won't let them run my club down, without giving some response....they don't like that, hence the 'happy clapping' tag they have come up with. The fact remains, they are the most negative posters on here...........but hey ho.....it takes all sorts!!

We're not going to be champions this year - fact.

We're not going to get promoted this year - fact.

We'll be lucky to get mid-table this year -fact.

I can't see why anyone would expect any of the above to happen considering what happened over the summer.

AP is the future, he's going to build a squad over this season and the next pre-season to get the job done. Not in the couple of months he's been here FFS!

I watched match of the day and the football league show last night and the amount of poor referees in the game is incredible! I don't believe that we should blame all our troubles on the ref, but where is the comeback for refs? If a player ****s up, (ie the Nottingham forest bloke waving the flag) then the FA come down hard on them, but if a ref ****s up nothing is done to them! The only ref i can remember getting in trouble was, Andy Durso(?) when he booked a player three times against us! IMHO until some technology is brought into the game and their is a punishment for referees for making mistakes, then you will have fans, managers, players, reporters etc up and down the country moaning about dodgy decisions week in week out!

I'd be interested to see the tide gradually turn on here if we kept losing. I wonder how many of the 'give him time' people would have changed their tune if we'd lost the first ten games?

I too think we should be aiming for stability, but none of us, including our owners, would sit here and watch us stumble blindly towards relegation.

However, performances have improved and so I would be mythed if we continued to lose for much longer.

Good to see everybody has started squabbling again though.

You wont be surprised to know that the loudest "give him time" members are the same folk that thought Wigley needed "more time" when we were relegated from the prem and the same 'know it alls' that wanted JP to have "more time" last season.
