Bitter defeated boss claims we are very long ball!

Being at the game i am quite surprised by that comment because MK Dons just hoofed the ball up to there front players most of the time too. Difference is that Trottman won everything, very good game from him today, largely un noticed due to other players grabbing the headlines, but I think we really need to either extend his loan or put in a cheeky bid for him come Jan.

100% agree, he was my MOTM today

Whilst I don't wish to detract from Paul Ince being a c*nt, aren't those comments made by the assistant manager karl Robinson rather than Ince.

Probably because Ince was so bitter he couldn't be bothered to fulfil his post-match media obligations (which his touchline ban would allow him to do) and sent his assistant along instead.

Long ball, um, slick passing and from the training ground for two of our goals, question for you Mr Ince did your pre-match team talk tell your players to go down at the slightest touch.

Exactly, thought they were very poor actually and I can't remember Kelvin having to make a save. Only scored their goal by blatant cheating although superb execution by Puncheon who I thought looked quality and one we should try to sign. Sums them up as a club, I've liked a lot of the clubs this season but their fans were plastic toss today as well. Saints were unfortunate not to have won 5 or 6-1 today to be honest. Two of our goals were well-worked pieces of football and the third was clever from Connolly but garbage from their full-back who Antonio roasted and tortured. Add this to us hitting the bar, goal disallowed and several desperate scrambles in their box.

If we are really on form by the time we go to their place, they should be very worried.

MK are shocking team. They never looked like scoring & were all about chasing & bullying then hoof.

We on the other hand passed as much as we could, but they held a very very high line which limited the space in the middle of the park. The 2 guys in centre mid were simply bullies who could not play football.

That guy is simply bitter at having his arse kicked.

I can see MK getting dragged into a relegation battle actually. Horrible club, no wonder they are so hated across the land. Hope AFC Wimbledon - the real club - draw them in the FA Cup and beat them. Delighted with Saints today but wish we'd been really ruthless and got the 6 or 7 goals which we richly deserved.

He's a cu .... nt, always has been ,always will be. Big time, up himself knob head who prances around pretending he's a revolutionary coach and giving soundbites for the media. Fact is, Ince is a very limited coach both tactically and as a man manager. Can't even string a coherent sentence together and is a thoroughly dislikable person.

His teams have never played fluid, patterned football which reflects his limitations as a coach - he's from the same 'blame everyone else and implode' coaching school as Roy Keane. Players see through the bull**** he feeds the media and the fans and I'm just so glad my opinions of him were affirmed by him and his team today.

He will never, ever be a decent manager.

just because their keeper failed to find one of their players in their long ball game!

if you read that article the telling part of it is.......

They stopped us playing the kind of football we want to play but, having said that, we had a game plan and I thought we matched them in the first 10 minutes.

Apart from the first ten minutes (and that's being generous) and the free-kick and resulting goal, they didn't look too impressive to me

Jaidi. Not sure that wasn't the incident followed by their defence blocking everything and probably a few handballs thrown in.

For the record we are starting to look a little "direct" but that's usually when Jaidi and Trotman are "passing" out of defence, our first goal today was about a six man move that went down both wings and through Hammond twice.

They, meanwhile, scored with their only shot on target.

MK Dons fan on 606 forum has noted we murdered them but it was also one of their worst performances.

I just read it was there assistant who said the comments - irrespective, I could imagine them coming from Ince himself and whether he made those comments against us or anyone else I'd still think 'c....t' - and my sentiments about how I feel about Ince still stand.

Anyway, ottery.... nice that we can agree. If I recall, I think we may have duelled in past. :D

Well, well... I have to say... it's great coming on here and at worst just debating and arguing over football matters! :-D

God bless you too!

(that's the cue for a unaminous 'awwwwww' from the rest of SW) ;-)

Pretty crap comments from the 2nd in command really, had to listen on the MK dons stream on I-Player today as the solent stream kept breaking up. And their commentators gave us glowing praise today, said we were the best team they had seen this season. At half time they stated they expected us to get back into the game. Also said we thoroughly deserved the victory today.

i quite like ince. No-nonsense and a decent coach. Yeah has an ego but so do a lot of managers....

We'll be continuing this debate via WW messenger very soon. ;)

His teams are awful and he can construct a sentence. He's an assembler, definitely not a coach! IMO

sounds good to me. He doesnt suffer fools gladly and i like that. Got mk promoted from l2 didnt he? Before ****ing up at blackburn without any funds....

I think that his 'no-nonsense' attiude is a complete farce. It's a parade of a false persona.

He certainly wouldn't inspire me to run through any brick walls if he was my manager. He just seems.... thick.

Can't argue about the L2 promotion but let's face it, compared to the other teams in that league though, MK were huuuge. I'd say his turnaround at Macclesfield was probably the biggest evidence of any real coaching impact.

Even the MK Don's fans disagree with those comments.

If you want a good view on our performance from an MK Don's voice...read this from their forums...

''We were really taught a lesson today. Not only did they outplay us in every part of the pitch, they outfought us in every part of the pitch. The outplaying was embarrassing at times - the way their players moved for each other off of the ball was both fantastic and painful to watch. They wanted the ball more than us for 90 minutes. They battled for everything, and we had nothing to offer in return - just repeated hoofing of the ball up the pitch.''
