Norwich build up

Booked my train tickets and getting excited already.

Can't help thinking if we can start like we did Saturday then we are bound to win!

Ain't looking forward to the last 10 minutes though, unless we are 3-0 up ;)

How many wins on the trot have Norwich had now? 11 . Plus the team have the unecessary pressure heaped on them and Pardew by Nicola and this has a distinct 'after the Lord's Mayor's show' about it.

I think we will be well beaten but the good news we have some very winnable games on our run in especially our last 10 games look very easy all bar Charlton and they are beatable.

What price being 1 pt away from the relegation places come Saturday night?

Hold on guys and girls have just seen this in the current bun could be that we re enter the FA Cup....

>>

FA CHIEFS have made no contingency plans for Portsmouth going bust before their FA Cup quarter-final with Birmingham.

Pompey face a winding-up order over unpaid bills of £12m.

That is five days ahead of the Brum clash and an FA source said: "There is no precedent for this situation."Hopefully, they will survive.

((( If they don't the FA Cup committee must decide whether to give Birmingham a bye or re-admit Southampton as the last side beaten by Portsmouth.")))

This is a local game for me I have my ticket in hand. This will be a very difficult game to win, Norwich are easily best team in the league.

Canaries support very vocal and very passionate.

Local for me too but picked up my tickets at the weekend...I agree that they're the best team we've played this year (saw both matches) & it's indisputable that they're on a phenomenal run but they lost at Milwall & got out of jail at Brighton at the weekend.

They also see us as their jinx team...I've got a couple of Cafairy ST holders working for me & they were terrified earlier in the season that they'd get us in the play-offs but mumbo jumbo aside we have a team that can match or better theirs - I hope it's this one that turns up or I'll have a miserable Monday!

Their supporters clap loudly too...it's the extra finger!

We'll be 3-0 up and subs like Wotton will have been brought on to shore up the back.

Been an expensive week or two for Saints supporters so hardly surprising their is much stomach for a long journey and a probable defeat.

Our season reignites a week tonight.

rubbish ,,, they will all be keen to splash out for the joke paint game ,, 44,000 to wembley 1,000 to norwich prob same to wycombe says it all ,

Tough, tough game but looking on the optimistic side they only just scraped a win at Brighton (maybe the start of a dip in form?) and we should have taken great heart from our performance against PFC (despite losing).

We've won there before and there is no reason why we can't do so again.

If we could win this one and results go our way elsewhere then maybe that little crack of light called the playoffs may open again..........................????

Must admit i'm a bit worried about this game. Will we be suffering from cup hangover syndrome which seems to so often effect sides just after they have played in the cup....and lets not forget that we played two cup ties this week and both were highly charged emmotional affairs.

On watching both games we having nothing to fear from Norwich IF we can play to the same high tempo as we played for the first 35 minutes against MK DONS and the first 70 minutes against ****mouth.

What concerns me is if the players can get motivated enough to believe the playoffs ARE STILL an outside chance ....or will they have one eye on a Wembley appearance!!

I desperately hope AP can motivate them and make them believe the playoffs are still achievable.

I think they'll give us a hiding - very, very good team and we seem to be genetically unable to defend.

A draw would be an amazing result.

we're much better at the back with Seaborne and Fonte. Seaborne has actually been a nice suprise for me - looks v solid so far.

Any pubs near Carrow Road that the red and white plan to call their home this saturday afternoon?

The police usually direct away coaches to The Rushcutters about a mile away towards Thorpe St Andrew...safety in numbers but bear in mind that they still point at cars round here so agression is saved for wellie hurling & dwile flonking!:D

For those in cars it takes me from about 3 hours 20 when quiet to 4'ish on a working day when I come down (most home match weekends) - you can knock 20-30 mins off that because that's how far I am t'other side of Sparrow Road. Not far compared with Hartlepool, Carlisle etc.:)

Are you kidding? How many times have you seen him play? Ive seen him away at Millwall, Brentford and Exeter and at home against Stockport which I think are all the games he has played, and frankly, he's a liability. He's no nonsence, granted, but he's horribly one footed which puts him under pressure a lot, he has a 50p head and the ball can literally go anywhere off it, and for a big guy, he loses far too many aerial battles than he should. Millwall was especially bad for that - their equaliser came from him not dealing with a long ball, but I promise you that wasn't the only time that happened that day.

I don't like being critical of players, especially new signings, but at the moment, he's just not up to it and I really hope he's not in the team on Saturday.

Getting tickets for this and Wycombe later, hopefully we win them both to give us an outside chance at play offs, two more performances like the last three league aways and I'd really struggle to find motivation to go to Tranmere and Mk next month.

Hopefully we sell a few tickets late in the week and fill our allocation - coyrs!

Looking forward to seeing Puncheon play, I think it will be a return to 451 with Antonio dropped for Puncheon and the three new defenders playing again.

We need a good song for Otsemobor because we need to drown out the abuse he'll be getting from the Norwich fans.

"We've got a Semi on"

It's me vs the other half once again, I'm sure she'll make my life hell whether we win or lose, so the outcome I'm predicting is a draw (which would be a very good result!)

Head says Norwich win though. Can we up our game? We need Puncheon to show what he's made of. Plus, Lallana has been my MOTM in the last two games, which shows he's back in form. Could swing things our way!

1-1 though.

Tough Game.

Norwich are a good side.

I think a point would be a good result. 3 Points fantastic.

Not that many teams outside the Prem that would fancy their chances at Carrow Rd at the moment.

There have been some cracking matches between the two sides in recent years. Lets hope we have another

Well I too think he's looked very good. Remembering that it's only his first few games, I think he will be just as good as Jaidi when he's settled in properly. Probably even better.

I'm sure Mr Pardew will take your observations into consideration.

If the team is up for it I would only add two to the team.Fonte for Perry and Puncheon for Antonio/Papa.

451 with Lallana having a more free role to link up with Ricky.

Care to elaborate on why you think this is garbage? Have you actually seen him play? I fail to believe that anyone at either the Millwall, Brentford or Exeter games could disagree with what I've said. He played ok at home to Stockport but lets face it, he was hardly tested.

Just play this from 3 minutes 42 onwards - look at Seaborne get outmuscled and beaten in the air for what must've been the 10th time that afternoon.

At Brentford, there were multiple sliced clearances, and some really random headers that definitely did not go where they were intended.

At Exeter he got caught in possession 2 or 3 times where he couldn't use his right foot and Exeter knew that. And he was caught out of position at least twice, and we should have been punished.

He might come good, with more games. But we don't have time to be bedding players in. We need our best back four and, frankly, he's not part of it at the moment.

Really really want to go to this game, think it will be a good game but can't because of work commitments. I'm going to be as ambitous as possible and go for a 1-2 win, Barnard to get both and will be good to get Fonte back in the defence, he was the big miss for us on Sat. Would probably drop Antonio for Puncheon, not that hes done much wrong just think he could do with a rest, leaving us with Lallana and Puncheon to alternate flanks.

I thought he played well at Brentford & Exeter as did all our defence, considering it was ouw midfield in those games who went missing.
