Surely it's the Sushi and Skinny Latte brigade these days brandishing their loyalty cards for a little stamping. My guess is the debenture seats will be 'sold' or empty as not many holders will want to go and watch such an important and major game. I'm going but am I alone in being ever so slightly embarrassed about going to such a worthless piece of junk and the over the top hype many are giving it. Who have we beaten of any note??? Enjoy it, yes it's generally known as a 'tinpot' trophy in some quarters, but when it comes down to it, we'll be showing up a lot of supposedly 'bigger' clubs - 44k cannot be sniffed at, JPT or ZDS or any other cup. Let's pretend Carlisle had taken their full entitlement and sold them (they got around 3,500 at home to Millwall last night!), then if all Club Wembley members took up their seats then it would have been a sell-out. As it would have, had we been playing dirty-Leeds.

At the start of the season, I would have agreed with you, but not now, and I I don't think Cortese shares that thought either Don't forget, it is the Team that Pardew ASSEMBLED, that have dropped points. ie Brighton, Exeter, Brentford, Wycombe, Tranmere Our current Squad should NOT have dropped points against that lot For the Squad that it is now, they have UNDERACHIEVED:cool:

Window Cleaner Posted 10 March, 2010 Share Posted 10 March, 2010 Well I wouldn't think the Football League wants too many empty seats as they get a pretty big rake off on the event (you'll have to read their article 68 to see why). We get just our share of the pool plus half of half of the proceeds after all expenses are paid so as far as the FL are concerned the more the merrier. We must be a godsend to them with our 44000 ticket take up(and to all the clubs who get a share in the "pool fund") Bet the FL hope were still in the JPT next season. because last year's final only attracted 55000 spectators at Wembley and we get nearly that all by ourselves. A further 2,000 - 3,000 could be lost as it looks increasingly likely that Carlisle won't take up their full allocation. Suppose its a question of how desperately Saints fans wan't to be there because there are tickets still available for Club Wembley level seats but obviously it will cost you a few pounds....
