I thought it would take a while to get this started due to not having anything to play for now.

Should be a cracking atmosphere, nervous in the Gills end and a bit of a party atmosphere us travelling lot.

I think it will be a high scoring draw.

As always i would like to see Barnard start, Jaidi to return perhaps?

Thoughts please ...

Just need Lambert and Barnard to score a few more so they take the top two in the league top scorers list. I imagine we might play a few more of the youngsters/fringe players so AP can make some descions on those he might want for next years team. Not much to play for for us so I could see us losing as the Gills need the points to avoid the dreaded R.

I am going to get off my face on beer and don't intend on being able to comment on the game until I have seen the highlights on Saints Player

Hope you will be taking notes for your new away ground guide Please lets us know what away friendly pub serves carling/fosters/urine and where the local old bill escort you to the ground from :-)

Looking forward to this, my gillingham supporting mate got us tickets in their main stand which means going under cover, but also entry into their supporters club under that stand.

I would imagine they will be 1 of the few sets of fans who will create a decent atmosphere this season as its important-nice to be at a match where we can relax.

Still wanna win tho!

going to get wet when it rains, but hopefully i will be so bladdered i will neither care nor notice. I reckon we will win 6-0, a footballing lesson dished out just to prove what we can do. Also there will be a fair few players trying to secure contracts/ permanent deals.

Only thing left to play for is the moral victory of finishing with 10pts of the playoffs. I think we will do it. Other than that, meh.....

Currently 13 points from 2nd. So that is what Pardew is aiming for - to get within 10 points of 2nd. Within 10 points of the playoffs is likely to be achieved with victory against Southend.

I agree. I think finishing within 10 points of second would be a great achievement if we can do it and must then leave none of the players with any doubts about auto next year as in theory we will have already done it.

No Antonio then? That's fair enough - if he's not going to be with us next season there's no point playing him.

Ridiculous side if you ask me, I thought we wanted to get maximum points from our last 2 games. I mean the front end and Kelv looks alright but that defence?

Well I guess you won't know till you try though, however if we get wopped because of the defence there will probably be some sort of recriminations from

Tranmere over it.

well when else are you going to be able to see if these players can actually make it, and have a future with us?

everyone needs to be given a chance.

I don't blame Pardew for chucking Martin in. How many other chances will he get to play him in a league game without needing to worry about the result? It's all well and good playing him in friendlies but it's just not the same as playing a team fighting for their lives.
