RobM Posted 30 August, 2010 Share Posted 30 August, 2010 Huge thanks and all the best. I think we were heading in the right direction, even if it wasn't as quick as I'd have liked in my red and white brain. But thanks for everything and good luck with whatever you do next
itchen_dan Posted 30 August, 2010 Share Posted 30 August, 2010 Fully agree, Good Luck Pards! One of the best managers I've seen in the transfer market and thanks for the great JPT performance last year. Ok, the tactics weren't the best at times but I believe he would've got us promoted this season Thanks!

Deppo Posted 30 August, 2010 Share Posted 30 August, 2010 I have written a poem for Alan, a man I consider a friend: The hardest part of any friendship is when it is time to say goodbye, and even though I wished I could make you stay, I know I got to let you spread your wings and fly. For life is a journey that needs to be travelled and I am certain you'd make it through, I just want you to know and never forget that I will surely miss you. So follow your heart and never give up, as dreams and wishes do come true, for I know that someday we'll meet again, so never forget I will be praying for you. ericofarabia Posted 30 August, 2010 Share Posted 30 August, 2010 The way things are going at WHU maybe he'll get the job back at his spiritual home when they see the light and get rid ofthe prossie using Shrek. Thanks Alan for everything you've done at the club from top to bottom. This time last year we were totally devoid of any confidence, self belief and footballing ability. You got rid of the deadwood, got in a good backroom staff and things are most certainly on the way up. Wishing you all the best at whichever club is lucky enough to snap you up. Thanks for bringing back a smile to the faces of long suffering Saints fans.
Winchester_Saint Posted 30 August, 2010 Share Posted 30 August, 2010 Thank you Alan, you built us up from a complete mess when you took over and, although Cortese obviously expects miracles, you did a really good job, signed some great players and gave us a terrific cup win. Last season was one of the most enjoyable in a long time and you did not deserve to be sacked. Best wishes for the future.
spyinthesky Posted 30 August, 2010 Share Posted 30 August, 2010 In my personal opinion AP did a decent job and had the majority of fans on his side. He did, of course, benefit from a large war chest but had to overcome many of the poor management from the previous (mis) management However, by all accounts, AP appeared to be a 'dead man walking' more or less from the time he was appointed. I wonder if Cortese was involved in his appointment?

pele Posted 30 August, 2010 Share Posted 30 August, 2010 All the best Alan and his staff! I do fear that if and when we achieve this aim of The Premiership what do we do then settle for Bolton mediocrity? Why do we attract dictators it's like supporting an African/South American despot!
