CWD Posted 20 November, 2010 Share Posted 20 November, 2010 Really good performance by the sounds of it, and so glad to see Lee Holmes play well. Hopefully Barnard coming off was only a precaution. Well done saints and well done NA! Bring on Brighton, I bet they're ****ting themselves!

Dr Who? Posted 20 November, 2010 Share Posted 20 November, 2010 Great win, beat Brighton and we are right back in the hunt to win this league. Hartlepool A Brentford H Walsall A after the Brighton game and before Christmas, and I expect 9 points from these games, and it could well have us in the top two and right behind Brighton. Do have to say our away form is patchy so we will see. We could also be in the 3rd round of the FA which is a nice bonus!

Guan 2.0 Posted 20 November, 2010 Share Posted 20 November, 2010 Wish I could have gone today, Sounded an excellent match, with Chaplow and Hammond running the midfield. Shame that Barnard and Lambert had to come off, would have Loved for Rl to grab a goal, or Guly to grab a few more! Holmes sounded class, let's hope for more of the same on Tuesday night. Also sounds like Bompey have had a few injuries, most importantly to their GK. Their new keeper sounds like a bumbaclart so hopefully this will put paid to their ambitions. We can even really screw them up by lending them forecast.

ericofarabia Posted 20 November, 2010 Share Posted 20 November, 2010 Sounded like an all round good team performance. Happy Days. 4 4 2 worked a treat today, and the wide players did the business. Even the impact players (subs to the rest of us) had an er ... impact !! Shame about the way the results finally ended up at Charlton, Colchester and even Sheff Wed managing to virtually double their seasons goals total, we could have been 3rd. Plucky Bomo snatching a draw from the jaws of victory helped though.

Brentford won at plymouth, Walsall did better than us and beat Carlisle and even Hartlepool pushed Colchester all the way only to lose in 90th min. Eggs, baskets and chickens etc!! But if we play to our straengths we should have the ability to smash any team in this league ... including Brighton!! COYS

But from one week to the next you do not know what is going to happen. Huddersfield have had a couple of very bad weeks too. I expect 9 points but would not be to down hearted with 6 or 7. Anything less and I would. I am working on 2 wins from 3 games will be enough to get us up over the season. Last 2 lost and won, so we must beat Brighton! alpine_saint Posted 20 November, 2010 Share Posted 20 November, 2010 Top notch result, and top notch performance from what I've seen. This is a big result, going into the Brighton game. They will feel the pressure coming into this game, and if the result goes right, the league is blown wide open, with us potentially 3rd. Well done, lads. Work to be done on the road though... ericb Posted 20 November, 2010 Share Posted 20 November, 2010 that was one of the easiest games of the season, the full backs where superb - especially dickson - and Chaplow totally bossed the midfield. Could easily have scored six and the goal was the result of a silly mistake from Jaidi (easily the weakest link in the side and i'd be happy to see him dropped on Tuesday night). Again Oxo was superb and barney worked his socks off too. Would be interesting to see what the Posh fans thought since i thought they were surprisingly poor, and we really walked through their midfield. I personally can't see Brighton being anywhere near as much of a walk over but let's hope they are!
Ohio Saint Posted 20 November, 2010 Share Posted 20 November, 2010 (edited) The crowd were awesome today. Singing from every stand at times. Lots of constant applauding too as we controlled the ball amazingly in midfield. Solent turned the crowd volume right down......The only bad point of the day, it totally ruined the radio experience. Agreed though, the twelfth man was awesome today from what I heard before it got too noisy for the radio knobheads.
