First pundit to get the sack?

Gary Neville just emphasised how bad Carragher was, it was almost like someone upstairs in Sky hates all things Liverpool and thought this would be a wheeze to have a Scouser shown up by a Manc. I turned round to my Missus after about 2 minutes of him and said that I felt worn out just listening to him.

The other one who might not last is Paul Robinson, he was on Soccer Saturday I think a couple of weeks back talk about the cure for insomnia: someone should have wired his chair into the mains to give him a jolt. At least with Merson you get the Clown factor (and having played for the skates, just fuels our view of our friends down the M27) and Dowie when he is at the match reporting always has a face on him like he has just seen Paul Robinson get the the electric shock off his chair.

Carragher -his voice is shocking and can only be heard by my dog at times. I was watching Gary Neville's face last night and he looked like he was being slapped every time Carragher spoke. And why did they need two people to do the same job? Is Carragher an unpaid intern?

Mind you better that than the bland, smug bastards at Match of the Day. Shearer would send a glass eye to sleep!

Neville is by far the best thing on telly and ( controversial no doubt but....) I have a soft spot for Stan Collymore on the radio.

Ha ha make me laugh!!

My gorgeous wife and I were saying last night that Sky should have subtitles when Carragher is talking - I caught about every third or fourth word (if lucky).

It reminded me of Rab C Nesbit (apart from him being a scotty), which luckily did have the option of subtitles!!

It'll be one of the scousers, Carragher or Danny Murphy on MOTD. The Scouse accent should be kept in Liverpool, and as Carraghers is thicker, so should he.

Murphy's alright, thought he was a massive improvement on Lawrenson on MOTD, not that that's necessarily saying much, admittedly.

I resent that.

they are not going to dump carra after a couple of shows.

it was funny when neville suggested that carra was a burglur

I hope youre wrong, it was unbearable, I had to leave the room when he started squealing... didnt listen to the half time analysis and changed over straight after the game to avoid JC.

To be fair, it took Neville a few weeks to find his feet and whilst Carragher has an annoying accent - his insight should make up for it. Once he gets used to it. I liked the fact that he swore in relation to Cisse 'all that cr@p with the shirt'. Whilst hardly a massive clanger - I'm sure that's not a well used word across the Sky Sports platforms!

Merson is funny as he surely is as thick as **** but is an ok guy, the "he's hit the beans on toast" sums him up as a pundit.

Thompson is another one who does my head in, Liverpool this and that and fails to see they have been **** (for their standards) for nearly 10 years.

Le Tissier and Neville are the best on there for sure.

As mentioned previously, Paul Robinson in hindsight is worse than Carragher.

Looked like he was half asleep when on soccer saturday, there was even a penalty awarded in the game he was watching and he kept his commentary in his monotone pitch! Whilst you just know Merson or any of the others would have gone bonkers for it, which is much better viewing/listening!

I seriously tried bazza as like you said he does talk a lot of sense and definately knows his stuff. When he is talking in single sentances etc its fine but when he gets excited and talks for longer it starts to get lost in some half incomprehensible squeak.

You'll get used to it.

Six weeks and you'll be fluent.
