hypochondriac Posted 8 December, 2008 Share Posted 8 December, 2008 Meh. I predicted a loss before the game. I was happy to avoid relegation at the beginning of the season and we are currently achieving that. Occasionally I also get to see some good football so I feel happier than some of the games I watched last season. With a young team you will always get gash performances like this but as long as we keep our heads above water that will do for me. No point in being suicidal. If we were Charlton I would probably be very worried but we are still above the relegation zone.

Legod Third Coming Posted 8 December, 2008 Share Posted 8 December, 2008 We're in serious trouble. no - we're no worse off than we were before. we've been in a relegation fight from the start of the season. some predicted it would all be over by now with an unknown coach and youth players. It will be hard and no mistake but we're not dead yet. We need the Chairman to dig deep and bring back someone who can capitalise on all our posession with end product! JustMike Posted 8 December, 2008 Share Posted 8 December, 2008 oh my god!!! how bad are we. and dont start saying 'its coz we are on sky', bollix!! we are ****e..FACT. L1 football here we come. No clue in defence, was there a midfield and as for the strikers or lack thereof they may as well have been ball boys. And Lord Lowe is going to sell AS and AL!!! Under 10,000 for a game at st marys will soon become a reality.
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 8 December, 2008 Share Posted 8 December, 2008 What happened to the success we are beginning to enjoy?! Ah; I know what happened. Complacency against those plucky triers from South East London! In reality this was a cunning plan from Rupey to hold onto our best players. Play badly on national television against another team with 'talented' youngsters and maybe everyone will want to buy their players. Then, in February, watch us go [down]. Utter genius. egreog Posted 8 December, 2008 Share Posted 8 December, 2008 Successfully predicted 3-0 before the game.........but never expected to spend time watching such a poor performance......... "pretty pointless" football, being outmuscled on every 50/50 ball and giving their goalkeeper the easiest 90 minutes of his life........there is simply no end product and until resolved the only end product that is realistic is Div 3 plus administration.......shockingly poor stuff, just feel sorry for those that paid to go and watch it!! No, as I said on the other thread we need to Chairman to see the folly of having a 3rd rate coach and get someone in who can work with what we have. Unlike you I do have faith in these players, but they are being lead by a nice bloke put in an invidious position by a loony and sadly for him (because I genuinely like the guy, JP that is not RL), he isn't up to it. As you say we are not dead yet, there is still time for Lowe to put this right, but I despair that he will have the guts to admit his experiment is wrong and replace JP with someone who could at least keep us in this division, because unless that change is made, we will be relegated. Thats not giving up, its being realistic enough to see that a change needs to be made, and that change is the man picking the team.

They certainly both have squads that are probably better than their league position says, whereas I think we are not really capable of turning things around and instead will just plod on at something like a point a game. I think Forest and Doncaster will stay there and I just pray that someone like Barnsley or Blackpool will get dragged back in or else we could very well end up 22nd and fccukced.
