Just bought tickets for the Everton game and noticed that kick off time is 1245 on the Saturday, however, website states that depending upon the results of the Manure/Chelsea European matches it will be moved to Sunday at 1405. Anyone know why that is and what determines if it will be on Sunday?

I think that if Chelsea get through against PSG, their semi-final could be on the following Tuesday, so their game at Liverpool would be swapped with our game against Everton.

If that happens, it'll be an amusing kick in the balls for Sky who have clearly scheduled Liverpool v Chelsea followed by Palace v Man City with a "Showdown Super Sunday" feel to it.

Now we are dancing to the tune of the top 4 and Sky/BT, sod the Toffees fans and sod the Saints fans but I guess when you are piling in obscene amounts of cash Football Clubs will dance to whatever tune is playing and as fans we are a pretty stubborn bunch due to our addiction to the game so we are the easy inconvenience.

Why would you be amused by Sky getting a 'kick in the balls'?

Only if the 2nd leg is on Tuesday 29th.

I've just called the ticket office. Only if both ManUre and Chelsea get through is the date possibly moved. If Chelsea get through and Utd dont, Chelsea play on the following Wednesday not Tuesday. If they both get through, there's a 50/50 that Chelsea will still get the Wednesday fixture.

But of course we're relying on ManUre to beat Bayern first. Safe to say our game v the toffees is on the Saturday.

generally it is v.amusing to see anyone get kicked in the balls. Try it in ur personal life, next person you see, ur grandad or ur boss or whatever, give them a firm kick in the ole clackers. I guarantee that if you follow this method you will achieve satisfactory results.

Football's all about kicking balls.

Basically the above- it will only move if Manchester United win too.

No, United are already playing on the Saturday. Our game will be a straight swap with the Liverpool v Chelsea game to give them the extra day to prepare for Chamoions League.

But is it not the case that their game that weekend could then be moved to the Sunday, swapping with Liverpool v Chelsea, rather than it having any effect on our game?

No BT Sport will simply swap their scheduled televised matches around, and that is our game and Chelsea's.

Doesn't it depend on the draw? and whether they play on the Tuesday or Wednesday

Oh, brilliant. So now if it does end up being moved I can't go as I told work that I'm available. Totally wrong that they can leave it this late, if BT want to show the Chelsea game that badly then go ahead, just don't show ours.
