I agree. But the question is, which idiot would want to come here to replace him?

An interfering Chairman, a squad so raw it's just been seperated from the carcass and nothing to spend at all, coupled with no wage budget for free transfers.

is it...?

kelvin

rudi

perry

pearce

surman

euell

BWP

killer

sagga (to come back)

most of those are in and around the 1st team every week...

no more raw than palace...

I don't normally jump on bandwagons because they scare me, but this is terrible stuff.

Yes, he's had to be a manager with little to no finances and a bunch of youth players, but he's not got them fit enough or filled them with belief enough.

This system is not working. Playing midfielders as full backs is not working. Get some bloody defenders in.

what annoys me is when people say it is not jans fault and we have crap players...well, we have some decent players and are able to be better than this...

look at the likes of barnsley, plymouth, palace...all with very average players and doing far better than us...ffs

too many allowances being made and focus is on Lowe rather than an no ideas, cluelss manager

Catch 22 though,Wotte and Hockaday will be appointed.

Eventually we will go so far down the pecking order appointing managers that a program seller will be appointed. No doubt spun around as a positive saying, 'We have a appointed someone in touch with the fans.... all 17 of them.'

I really cannot see how any person no matter how far they are up Lowes bum can defend either him, Wilde or Jan after today. Please someone put us into Administration and keep Lowe out of the way while we are sold.

what if there is no buyer when in admin....not beyond the realms of possibility in todays climate...

The club winds up, we sell SMS, we start a new club called AFC Saints in the AFC Wimbledon mold, club owned by the supporters a la Ebbsfleet. We ground share with the Skates (so we can shi t on their seats) and start from the bottom.

That's how I feel at the moment anyway.

Think you'll find roles will be reversed next season unless something dramatic is done to change things around.

yes...but that does not make any difference now...they should be topping that league with the players they have and the money etc they have...by a mile better than the rest at their disposal...

And they are. We should be lower mid-table with the players we have, but we are not. We are 1 point off the relegation zone with 1 win at home all season looking relegation and administrtaion squarely in the face. Do you think JP would have Leicester top of the table even with the players and funds that Milan has? Would probably be just above the relegation zone, but playing pretty, exciting football (come to think of it Milan would have had the balls to show him the door long before now)

i doubt jan would have leicester at the top..but that does not make pearson to a brilliant either..

ian hollaway won that league with far less at his disposal than NP..would you love him to be here..?

WE NEED OUR STRIKERS!!

lallana is a midfielder so i'd sell him on hes been useless lately use the money to pay the wages of john and rasiak

our team with these strikers would be complete, our midfield is good, our defence would be good provided that the service to these strikers get goals then the opposing team would be two down or so and the pressure on our defence would be far less, giving them more confidence.

If this doesn't go according to plan in our important games over january, then the manager should go but for f***'s sake get some strikers and get some goals!!

If JP goes, Lowe will replace him with another manager who sticks with the total football theory. Everything Lowe has put into place since coming back is to allow this to happen. If it's not JP in charge, it will be a JP clone.

So if you want JP to go, which is fair enough, make sure it's JP you want to go and not total football, as that's here to stay.

The point is that it would make Pearon better than Jan.

Right now, I'd probably take Holloway, though I dislike him, he would at least have our players playing with heart and pride and in a system that suited their play.

The bit about resources is boll ox.

If you have a look at our squad, then you will find some decent players. Certainly comparable to many in this division.

Granted we haven't got a decent striker on our books (but then again some of that is down to Jan), but we do have at least an average squad.

Apart from Earnshaw, I couldn't tell you one Forest player, but they pi545ed all over us today. We could have lost 5-1 it was that bad.

I think Jan is out of his depth big time.

Total football, my arse. There has been no evidence of total football this season. I don't think some people actually know what total football is, Lowe certainly doesn't and JP doesn't either. What we actually play is Total ****e.

I see a common theme here.... Lowe :smt078

I stand by my point though. If JP goes I absolutely bet that he will appoint a similar manager (perhaps this new coach of ours?) and his reasoning will be he can step in and work with everything we have put into place recently. I can almost hear it now...

The 'spirit' around the ground today was probably the worst I have ever seen it. We've played poorly, bean stuffed etc in the past but this lot are clueless, out of their depth and we will go down, make no bones about it unless something changes in the next 2 weeks, simply because we dont have the players to last a CC season

Heard more than 3 people say enough was enough so gawd only knows what the attendance will be for the next home game

Worst manager in our history, possibly the worst manager i have ever seen at any club. Has no clue about modern football and if we go down i will blame him 100%. The man is a disgrace and his post match comments on the way home on the radio make me so angry. He talks about the team isn't playing like it is not his fault, he talks saying they were not motivated like it is not his fault. It is HIS job to get the players motivated and if he cant get them motivated for a home game against the team below us at home with our biggest crowd of the season the game before xmas then he never will. When it gets to the last few games of the season when we need to go to places and get results like last season under Pearson we will not get them under him. We are playing the worst football i have ever seen against teams who are themselves fecking awful. The players looklike they couldnt give a ****. How the man can say what he does when we have won one game at home in 12 games (50% of our home games) is nothing short of a scandal. How the man can stay in his job when he has lost 12 of our 24 games (50%) is ****ing disgraceful. If we keep the man and keep up with the figures for our 24 games this season we will be down. Jan have the dignity to resign, you are not up to this level of football, you simply do not understand english football.

Well today sealed it for me - I will not be renewing my ST next season.

In fact, I'll not be attending any more games at SMS until Lowe goes for good. As I've said before, I couldn't give a stuff about his background, what he looks like etc. He has FAILED this club not once but TWICE now!

And I've had a gutful of attending games hopeful of change and leaving utterly miserable. At 49 years old, I do not need to spend any more of my life and money on something that makes me miserable, however much I love my footie.

JP should either resign or be sacked and take his rubbish coaching staff with him. Get in Paul Ince - he'll know how to sort out the squad - we've got some decent players, they just need a strong guiding hand and some form of a clue about how to play proper football.

Another calamitous decision by Lowe. However, JP is being set up as the fall guy here.

Personally, I think Lowe is as incompetent as Jan, and as he appointed him, they should both do the decent thing and resign.

I don't see the point in changing managers if the autocratic Lowe remains at the club.

Right before anyone starts to criticise me I have been a supporter for some 30+ years so unless you have either a valid point to make or a similar record don't bother.

I find the situation after today’s match brings a smile to my face.

I'll tell you why - saints are fast becoming a team that I don't either recognise nor feel an association with, I hasten to add of course I wouldn't dream of supporting any one else, except that is my sons local kids teams.

No, like a number of my friends, some of whom have been season ticket holders for 20+ years, saints are starting to feel like a team that don't really truly deep down care.

I have supported then through thick and thin and promotion or demotion won't make a difference, it's the fact that as a business they aren't prepared to invest in the future but instead rely on working on the cheap, but yet expect me and thousands of others like me to invest our hard earned cash in the hope of a days decent entertainment and a flicker of progress.

I’ve seen some really attractive pass and move during these past few months but ultimately it's all about winning and in the main we can't - simple!

So whilst inside I’m truly gutted that we are as poor as we are, I can't help but cast a wry smile when I see us sink that little bit further down the table as I hope that at some point Lowe or others will either do the honourable thing and resign or feel forced to actually go for a "proper" manager and allow him to build a team.

Added to this sense of masochism is the sense of exploitation in respect of the Man U game, which I won't be attending, and that fact that the club sees " us " the fans as cash cows to be drained when the chance arises.

I realise that for some of us who have pride in being from Soton we may take our football club too seriously but I don't apologise for that, as we have to have something to hold onto, but sadly Saints are fast becoming just a "football team" rather than representative of the city and the area.

A time will come I’m sure where Saints will be something to be proud of, whether that be in the CC or Div 1 who cares, as long as those 11 who tread the turf want to be representing the club and not looking to merely be drawing a wage or hoping that a 'bigger club' coming looking and that the management take seriously their responsibility of leading an historic and proud club which can proudly be called Southampton FC.

So on my behalf and those few that I attend alongside, be warned Saints - unless you are prepared to start investing in a real manager then we will stop investing our money in you and I know which will suffer first!!

Surprised you've lasted this long.

I'm the same age as you and yet I saw this coming at the end of last season when Wilde jumped to back Rupert.

I have a warchest for the new men - (anyone but Lowe) - but even now with the credit crunch I may just hold on to it in case we fail to oust the idiots curently running our club.
