Torbay Saint Posted 30 December, 2008 Share Posted 30 December, 2008 All quiet on the loan front at the moment, but would you sell Lallana and/or Surman to fund a move for Cork? A young, Bristish versitile player could be worth a lot in the future??

West End Saint Posted 30 December, 2008 Share Posted 30 December, 2008 In a ideal world I would love to keep all 3 I can't see us being able to hold on to him on loan or buy him the lad is quality and will be playing in the prem sooner rather than later if he was another foot taller he would be the next Rio quality player
a1ex2001 Posted 30 December, 2008 Share Posted 30 December, 2008 Think we might get him till the end of the season as I don't think Chelsea have made there minds up about his long term future yet. When/if he leaves Chelsea it will be for a reasonable prem side like Bolton or Pompey.
SaintDonkey Posted 30 December, 2008 Share Posted 30 December, 2008 What worries me is that if he is 'for sale' practically every championship side knows how good he is and has more money. I reckon or best hope is that Chelsea are in two minds about him and want to hang on to him for the rest of the season - leaving him on loan at Saints of course! Weston Saint Posted 30 December, 2008 Share Posted 30 December, 2008 I am worried we have not heard already. Suggests Chelsea may be looking at a loan to a lower Premiership club. Hope he comes back but if not we can deal with it.

Chez Posted 30 December, 2008 Share Posted 30 December, 2008 (edited) my guess would be that we will need to either have sold Lallana/Surman, cut a deal with Euell or loaned out Saga and Dyer again before we can afford the Cork loan. Torbay Saint Posted 30 December, 2008 Author Share Posted 30 December, 2008 I just hope that the board members plus crouch etc can see this guys obvious potential and put their hands in their pockets. It would be a good investment. Think Jan's dream of the play offs is more realistic though.
Andy_Porter Posted 30 December, 2008 Share Posted 30 December, 2008 Would swap any player other than Kelvin for Cork. He's a great player, a real class act. Would be brilliant to keep him for another 6 months. It's becoming less likely with every day that passes though.

Massimo Osti Posted 31 December, 2008 Share Posted 31 December, 2008 We spoke to Jack in DG4 after the game, A really nice lad . He said he wants to stay but realisticly I for one cant see Chelsea allowing him to perform in this circus much longer. He has a very bright future. do we honestlt belive our current team/possition/board etc is the ideal situation for the boy to learn his trade? If you check the poster he makes no mention of where he has gone or when but hang on, check the time he posted and the date...maybe celebrating the new year in and maybe in high spirits, just a thought but of course blame the management of this club for someones course of joviality.
