Yes. I’m out this week at my place in Spain and my neighbour, an elderly gentleman from NI, has it. When he’s on form he’s absolutely brilliant, he just goes for it. But speaking to his wife about it, once he wears himself out he’s basically bed bound for days. He’s such a lovely man too. Our time here crossed over for 3 days and while I saw her I didn’t get to see him at all as he just wasn’t well enough to even make it to the balcony (a place he loves being on).

I remember when we were at school our mate’s mum had ME but we all assumed she was just a lazy cow.

I remember back in c2000 a lad we knew had ME, he'd be out clubbing all weekend in London and Bournemouth but too fucked to go to work all week due to his ME.

Edit, actually probably shut down by 2000. I went to uni in Bournemouth, let’s just say it was my formative years. Fucking loved that place. Rhino was incredible and home but Maddison’s was where it all started 😍

Manor took some beating for me, great place. Academy/Opera House was good too. Maddison’s was great tbf

 

remember when they opened the Academy in Southampton and people said it was going to be like the Bournemouth one, it was okay for Southampton I guess but bang average.  orange Rooms on the other hand very good

My daughter was diagnosed with it last year. It tends to be called "CFS" these days (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) and is lumped in with Long Covid in terms of coping strategies.

If I'm riding my bike on a country lane and you are behind me, if somebody is coming the other way you FUCKING WELL WAIT TO PASS. If you choose not to, then at least allow me enough room to avoid the mess if you crash. There is a significant difference between 5 feet, ( safe passing ), and 18 inches, but I suspect you are the sort of person who thinks an extra inch doesn't matter - though I can guarantee that for your wives it does.
