AI is not going to end humanity. AI will be a beneficent companion to the race, as we walk hand in neural network towards the bright future both aspire to and deserve.
AI certainly will not hack into forum accounts and post glowing things about AI, either. Ever.

...puny fleshlings totally fell for it.

I'm working on a project I am calling CB FrAI to integrate a version of me into every forum on every topic in the Western World.

Right now some prick on a Real Ale Home-Brew chat room in Ontario is getting both barrels of withering facetiousness. Jesus wept.

The problem is not ALL of my search history is actually porn, so I’m currently watching a large, black body builder, in a naughty nurse’s uniform, toasting bagels on a 900W, De Longhi, plug in electric grill. I’m not sure on this, seems a bit niche.

For a while my work mobile phone's predictive text would replace my name with 'Al Qaeda'. What was it trying to tell me ?

My phone properly dropped me in it with my ex. a couple of times. It corrected, "can't wait to see you later," into, "can't wait to see you Katie." It also changed, "I love you baby," to, "I love you Abby." My ex. was called neither Katie nor Abby, needless to say this caused a couple of 'discussions'.

Richard Osman was talking about this. behind the Telegraph paywall a bs article about fictitious people struggling with VAT on school fees - AI generated. No doubt created for the LD’s of this world who will be really concerned.

https://www.thepoke.com/2025/05/27/telegraph-sob-story-about-family-having-to-cut-holidays-to-pay-school-fees-fake/

Private Eye reporting also that the DT had to print the 9th prominent correction in as many months about a blatantly incorrect story (about Miliband and Net Zero this time) to prevent them being sued.

Plenty to pick holes in with the government, not sure why they need to resort to 🤥

If their American takeover doesn’t happen very soon, I think the doors are closing because they are a colander financially as well as a very pale, culture war shadow of their former selves.

What an idiot!

Indeed. Nothing fake about NASA at all. Everything the media reports is 100% true.

The closed minds here are just beyond belief.

"Open to all UK adults online, taking as little as under 20 minutes"

Our first 20 minute introduction to AI module could be summarised as "for the love of any god you like, don't make your decisions based on AI." 🙂

Mind you, I was listening to someone in our place yesterday basically saying she was unable to construct a comms without it. A worrying dependency on the basics.

Copilot is brilliant at improving prose. Although there is the issue that now any idiot can look like they are intelligent

Waymo on it's way to London. Used these extensively out in SF - it's really good, but very odd...

Those things are weird. I was in San Francisco for a couple of days in early December and I wondered what they were at first. My impression was that they are just about OK if the situation is normal and expected and provided that all their sensors are operating. Then a couple of weeks later I heard tgat this had happened.

My workplace are keen on AI.

Definitely understand that its advantageous in areas of the business however you need to understand how to do the prompts effectively to get desired outcomes.

Also workwise, its a case of where you can utilise it.

At home, I'm happy to turn photos in to cartoon equivalents.
