Bit rich of BadEnoch to attack Starmer over defence spending given the Tories' record on defence budget cuts. How quickly does she think the forces can be expanded and re-equipped ?

He's such a wet lettuce. I guess in some ways the war has come at the right time for him (and Trump) as they're not talking about Epstein and Mandelson any more

Sounds like Trump and Starmer aren't talking at all.

But yes, he's a wet one. I'll never known such a dithery PM. Useless.

None of the leaders impress:

- Starmer = wet fart and can’t pick a lane

- Badenoch = amnesia about the dreadful mess they created before and just rehashes what didn’t remotely work in government

- Farage = shittier Harry Redknapp, with even worse IT skills, even dodgier finances and far less trustworthy still. Like Redknapp at Pompey, surrounded by blood money

- Davey = heart in right place and expertise on social care but even most of his MPs don’t rate him. With a remain majority in the country and tactical voting to keep Farage out, should be cleaning up and isnt

- Polanski = need I say more?

They’d probably rather glug Blossom Hill.

Alan Clark had it spot on with that in his diaries, a barbarian civilisation.

However, when the Tories took over in 2010 they did not need 8 years or more. People like you and sog etc., we're all over them complaining etc., after a year or two. Double standards part 372.

For starters when the Tories in 2010 took over they didn’t inherit the kind of shit show that Labour have handed to them. You were not on this forum in the early 2010s  (and maybe not even born) so how do you know what people were posting then?

As for double standards, it would be good if you could find any level of something that could be called a standard.

Starmer has his heart in the right place, probably more so than the fat fraud Sir Edward.

You’re usually agreeing with Farage so it’s no different. I was hardly complementary about him as the LDs ought to be doing far better.

Is Farage’s? No, it’s awash with money even Pompey would baulk at for being filthy. ‘Man of the working class’ my backside.

Even the boob grower is cleaner than Nigel Redknapp 😂

Lowe’s ragtag party just reached 100k members and Reform councillors already defecting.

BadEnoch says that the UK is "losing the respect of our allies" by not jumping into the unnecessary middle east war alongside the US.

She fails to realise that Trump doesn't "respect" us, or any other European country, to start with. She's just blustering in an unfocussed blood lust, hitting out limply as her party disintegrates around her.

Starmer proving, beyond any doubt, he is no Winston Churchill at the press conference.  Do we have one single member of the armed forces that would risk his life defending his sorry ass? I don't think a single member of the cabinet would.

Today is a historic moment, the day that the UK hit rock bottom.

Wet Nelly.

To an extent, though  you are correct, Starmer is no Churchill - he is not an aristocratic  economically illiterate racist who believes in the Darwinian racial superiority of the English.

They swear allegiance to the Monarch not the PM, so no. But that would be the same for every PM.

The UK’s lowest ebb was Liz Truss.

John just hit his lowest ebb - the last bottle of cheap wine ran out, his local shops in Lowford and Bursledon have all banned him for being obnoxious (see the horrific post about sexual assaulting women like his hero does on the Trump thread and plenty of others on here) and he’s miles over the limit.

He’s right on one thing - Starmer is no Churchill. But according to his own VP, Trump is America’s Hitler though.

I think you'll find that pretty much every soldier in the British Army was inspired by Winston Churchill during WW2 and were proud to serve Queen and Country. Monarchs are allowed to survive wars. Jesus, King Edward VIII, that well known Nazi was allowed to live in the Bahamas after the war. Politicians and dictators are normally, when supporting the losing side, hanged from the nearest lamp post. There's an idea...

Here we go again, nicking ideas from the Nazis. Typical cuntish behaviour from John.

Wrong ! ( No surprise ).

He was appointed Governor of the Bahamas in 1940 to effectively get him out of the way for the duration.

He resigned from the position before the war ended, ( March 16th 1945 ), and returned to Paris.

Why does anyone want us to get involved?  Feels like a lot of people are laying in to Starmer about it, but I find it hard to believe the vast majority of the population don't agree that staying out is incredibly sensible.

Iraq was only 20ish years ago ffs.

The consensus on this thread, I think, is that the war was/is justified. If it was/is, why would we not join the party?

I'm firmly of the view that it wasn't justified, despite how bad the Iranian regime was, and that we shouldn't go anywhere near it.

Is it officially a war if war hasn't been declared or just another armed conflict? A special military operation perhaps?

Every adminstration official in Washington is at pains to avoid the "W" word. Unfortunately for them, the fat orange man baby in the White House didn't get, or couldn't understand the memo, and keeps referring to it as a war.

But does it matter?  Even if it's justified it doesn't mean we have to get involved, it's not necessarily "our fight", it's primarily about Israeli security and US global control, not really British priorities.

It’d be hazardous ⚠️ with all of the empties strewn all over the place. John would fall asleep from all the booze before he saw any action.
