obelisk Posted yesterday at 14:43 Posted yesterday at 14:43 One way traffic unsurprisingly. Just wondering whether it was a good idea to organise a pre-season friendly where Saints hardly ever touch the ball. 3
benjii Posted yesterday at 14:43 Posted yesterday at 14:43 Is it 4231 with Archer on left, Armstrong on right and Fraser in t'hole?

Ramsdale gone, Fernandes seemingly off, Dibling not playing, no Aribo, youth player in cm, Ryan Fraser suddenly in the starting 11, downgrades in defence in the shape of Bree, Stephens continuing at CB, the bench stacked full of youth players. Yes we will bring in reinforcements but that's not going to help us next week and probably for a good few games which makes starting the season well that much harder. Its bed wetting, the front line is fine, midfield will have Downes back, it wouldn’t surprise me if we start with either MF or TD The defence is fine, im no Stephens fan but he’s probably better ok at this level and we have THB and Edwards Baz/McCarthy despite soggy knickers are mid table quality, we probably could do with an improvement but its not disastrous Its bed wetting We all know we can’t buy until we sell, we aren’t getting a winger/No.10 until we sell MF/TD because whats the point 3 1

What is your definition of bed wetting? Because expressing some concern about the lineup just before the season starts is entirely reasonable criticism. Bazunu was statistically the worst keeper in the league the last time he had a season. If Fernandes and Dibling are still here then they should be playing. 3
Saint NL Posted yesterday at 14:50 Posted yesterday at 14:50 Sesay looks like he has potential. Not seen anything from Downs yet though 2
coalman Posted yesterday at 14:51 Posted yesterday at 14:51 The bright spot is that Charles and Sesay look good in the middle. 1

Very much so, and here we are a week from our opening game against a pumped up Wrexham side that everyone not linked to Saints will want them to win, and we’ve looked poor all preseason, and are picking the same shite players expecting a different result. 1
Saint NL Posted yesterday at 14:53 Posted yesterday at 14:53 Anyone hopeful that Bazunu has improved just saw that he was nowhere near that disallowed goal. 2 1

Pre-season results generally mean fuck all. I get the concern but I’m prepared to wait before talking about manager being out of his depth 2
Harry_SFC Posted yesterday at 14:54 Posted yesterday at 14:54 (edited) Bree and Stephens on that right hand side of defence is a huge concern. Positives so far are Sesay and Charles. Archer also looks half decent despite playing out of position. Edited yesterday at 14:55 by Harry_SFC 3

OttawaSaint Posted yesterday at 14:55 Posted yesterday at 14:55 Finding it really hard to give a shit about this upcoming season. Everything about the club seems so meh. Not excited at all. 4
sockeye Posted yesterday at 14:56 Posted yesterday at 14:56 (edited) Somehow that counted for 4 goals. 9-0 at home? Edited yesterday at 14:56 by sockeye 1

Can't be easy trying to prepare with players who want out / we want to move on. I'll judge once the season is up and running and he's got a settled squad. 2
