Were we ever given a reason for his absence from the squad on Saturday? 

Surely in the minority here asI'd like to see him given a chance under Tonda but seems his days are numbered.

We've had 11 reasons why he's not getting a sniff. 

Even if he improves, he's not the kind of striker we play with (strong, physical and can play with back to goal).

Not sure this is it when BBD was given minutes. At least Downs has youth on his side, BBD has no redeeming qualities.

Endnof the 2027 season reads Christmas 2027 to me given that their season runs March to October.

They're having a shorter season early next year (the Sprint Season) because MLS is changing from being a summer league (played Mar-Dec) to a winter league (played Jul-May) to bring themselves in line with the major European leagues from July 2027

Basically just means Downs is with them for the remainder of this current 2026 MLS season (ends on Dec 18) and also for the 2027 MLS Sprint Season (February to May) and he'll be due back here in June

They would then begin their new MLS league calendar of a 2027/28 season that runs from July 2027 until late May 2028

Double D is going to get multi conversions now he’s back on the Major World League Soccer Series. I’m really rooting for him and he’s gonna convert lots of head shots  inside the penalty zone and foot shots from all over the end zone. Goal minders are terrified a Double D as they know what a fricking awesome goal converter he is!

Quite possibly our worst signing of all time in terms of fee paid versus actual ability. At no point during any of his brief appearances for us did he ever look even remotely like a professional footballer.

What an utterly bizarre bit of scouting.

If (and it is a big if) he does well and they want him, it looks like St. Louis are capable of signing players for relatively big fees. So they may actually be able to fund his buy option.

They just broke the MLS record for a MLS to MLS purchase with a $12m buy.

I’m sure after he’s played a couple of game they’ll realise he’s got as much potential as a traffic cone rather than a footballer.

The fee Les Reed paid for him is not his fault, and at least he knew how to kick a ball, you know, you could see he was an actual footballer even if not up to the required standard.

No chance. It was a terrible signing but at least he looked like a professional footballer. 
 

That was just a shit, panic signing. We needed someone to score goals and he’s never been a prolific goalscorer in his life.

Double D absolutely meant that assist. He was on another level to the other players that was his issue. It was like when Papa Waigo was always offside because his mo movement was so good the other players were good enough to pick out his runs. Double D is the same the balls into him weren’t good enough and when he did manage to win one the other players couldn’t read his flick ons

That was at the same time Pellegrino was manager, he’d managed Carrillo before and six weeks after he signed we sacked him. Kruger came out and said that they’d be thinking about sacking him for a while but every time they did he got a positive result. We were literally being run week by week in those times some utterly pathetic leadership

Already been touched on by others, but GC at least looked like he had played at some kind of level before, and I seem to remember seeing him occasionally win a header or complete a pass. 

DD literally looked like he had just been scouted from the local park. Had absolutely no idea where he was supposed to be, ducked out of every challenge, and if the ball did come to him it invariably just bounced back off him.
