I thought draw but then is it possible the players are 'not' playing. How can apparent good players play so badly. So Saints 0-2 Preston.  I can see more injuries and illness before Sat.

I'm not interested in goals expected its actual goal that count and we cant score enough goals when needed.

Teams that don't score enough goals get relegated its simple reality. Add in no midfield and no defence, cant win headers in box, cant tackle enough, too slow, no urgency and that means cant compete.

Add in no announcement so maybe the goalkeeper will be subbed off and the striker put in goal, I don't think the players know the tactics. I certainly don't.

Let's hope fans leave early then I can grt through that stupid small footbridge at Northam.  Who was the idiot that approved such a tiny foot bridge for 12k fans to exit the ground.

Relegation battle begins

It's not even a battle, we're getting relegated without a whimper unless there's a change of manager/coaching staff.

If Still is here for this game it will be a travesty.

In the unlikely chance that our board sees the light and dismisses Still then I'll be right behind Saints. If they don't then part of me will be hoping for a Preston victory so that it's hopefully another nail in Still's coffin.

Sad when it gets to this stage.

I'm not sure if that's enough for me, let's say Still gets the sack and we end up with Lallana as caretaker what would we have to get behind?

The same problems caused by the board all remain and in my opinion we still struggle to start with a cohesive starting XI

Ivan Juric managed 16 matches before he got sacked. Will Still has managed 14 matches. Hope that he will not stay longer than Juric

I am expecting a very painful day out next Saturday. Anything less will be a miracle.

Without doubt Saints are in the biggest crisis the club has faced for decades. There is no easy way out of this shambles. Sacking the manager won’t immediately turn this shit storm around. The club needs wholesale reform from top to bottom - and new owners to begin that process.

Big changes needed for this one whoever is in charge. If we can't or won't play Aribo then Matsuki has to play and we need to have a back 4. I'm assuming we have the injuries we think we do:

Mccarthy

Edwards THB Wood Manning

Downes Jander

Fellows Matsuki Scienza

Oyekunle

I'd wager that team would do better than the one we've been watching.

Personally, I’d go with:

Bazunu

Mads      Wood    THB    Manning

Downes    Jander

Armstrong    Azaz       Scienza

Archer

Of course, this won’t happen. It’ll be five at the back, we’ll start well, miss a bunch of chances, then score, immediately panic and concede, then make five subs from 60-75 mins, end up with Armstrong as the lone striker and a bunch of ball recyclers behind and lose to an 82nd minute defensive howler.

This isn’t your first time, is it 🤣

I'd probably go with the two Danes at fullback but I reckon that's a good shout on the midfielders and forwards.

Play off chasing Preston against relegation threatened Saints, we will do very well to get something from this.

The only good thing is we have only lost 1 at home, so we could get another draw. But…..

I feel this will be the game where the home crowd turn on Still, Dragan and his fellow loons as soon as things start going wrong. Which would then result in another defeat and closer to those relegation spots .

So would I but I assumed they would both be injured.

I head towards Bitterne, so walk straight past the bridge and use the underpass.

But if you're heading west you can easily do the same thing and then double back once you hit Northam Road.

A longer route, but I bet you'll be away quicker.

Incidentally, we beat Everton on November 2nd last year, so if we don’t win this one a 96th minute winner against Wrexham will be our only home win for a full, rolling year.

I like WS and really wanted it to work but if he doesn't win this one I think he's toast unfortunately

I like what he says, but sadly the players don't seem to be doing it for him. That isn't going to change and I think we'll lose again.

I'd like someone who is less of a wet lettuce running the team. Unfortunately SR's profile for a manager seems to be wet as fuck and willing to needlessly play 5 at the back.

Change won't make any difference. Doing the same thing over and over again when it isn't working is called stupity.

Additionally, we've not scored a goal in the first half of a home game since April (Fulham).  And it is now around 372 days since we were leading a league game by more than a single goal (and even then we lost 😞 )

Suddenly realised its the same route our forwards take towards the goal, no-one wonder we're slow attacking

Another defeat incoming and likely Still’s last game. Then we’ll be relying on fucking Lallana to steer us out of the relegation zone…can it get any worse?

I'm pretty sure Lallana taking over to steer us out of the relegation zone is it getting worse.

Not enough centre backs for Will Still’s liking

Also need to factor in which players will be ill this week

100% agree. He needs to grow a pair and drop nrs 9 & 19. I'd rather see a couple of Academy lads given a chance then those 2 nunptys. One needs 10 sitters for each goal, the other isn't good enough to get many opportunities. Biggest mistake since WS came was giving nr5 a new contract, his position should be ballboy

Glad it wasn’t just me! Assuming it’s some kind of social media influenced connected with the club that the organisers dislike.

Great to see it overall though. Hope it comes off and gets reported. Wolves fans having a decent go today.

I missed Wrexham. In fact, Everton was the last bloody win I saw 🥲

I missed both but I am going Saturday. Thinking about it, if we do win then the last two league wins I’ve attended will be against Preston.
