BARCELONASAINT Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago I'm really looking forward to Saturday and a chance to see my team at Wembley even if it's odds on we lose. When we booked our holiday i didn't think there was a cat in hells chance we might end up with a Wembley appearance let alone the slight chance of 3! I will be on holiday when the FA Cup final is played if we make it and if we do get to the playoff final I will have only got back into the country 3 days earlier so will probably miss the chance to get a ticket for Wembley, so i'm going to do my utmost to totally enjoy Saturday whatever the result.

Never think we will ever win a fucking game Thinking City will tear us apart is hardly thinking we will never win a game. If you actually thought about what I was saying, if we'd been playing any other team in the country I'd have felt confident - City are the one side who turn up consistently when it matters. Their front three against our back four terrifies me.

Let's wait and see who they start with on Wednesday night away to Burnley, as they said on sky Manchester City in the driving seat now but no room for error dropping points, could come down to goal difference. They have a huge advantage over us thanks to being backed by state oil money investing like its a computer game, the whole 115 charges fiasco a constant reminder of their attempts to gain an unfair advantage, 90% of the country would love to see us beat them although of course no one expects it, in that respect there is no pressure on us. Our paths have crossed with them many times, remember going up there in 2003 when we were expected to roll over for them to celebrate the farewell to Maine Road, not only did we beat them but Rupert Lowe lodged a formal complaint as they hadn't given us enough tickets, as part of the compensation I think they had to give is £10 tickets following season, went up and beat them again backed by a large following behind the goal. I'm sure they got the new ground on the cheap as well following the commonwealth games up there. Of course we stopped them from a treble in 2023 thanks to a management masterclass from Nate the Great and a wonderful goal by Moussa Djenepo Even last season they came to St Mary's in May expecting to brush aside already relegated Saints and were held to a 0-0 . You never know YELLOWS 2

Good for you. I don't understand the doom and gloom merchants on here sometimes. We started the season with yet another lousy SR managerial appointment and to see where we were in the table it was quicker to start looking from the bottom. Here we are a few months later, playing good football, 4th in the League and in the FA Cup semi-final. Quite a lot of clubs would change places with us. I detest City. Something stinks about a club who have 115 charges against them. I hate to see them lifting a trophy that they have very likely cheated and broken rules to win. I will be cheering our lads on this Saturday. I hope Tonda puts out our strongest team, that they give it everything they have and don't get overawed by City in any way. It's a big ask, but we need to support our boys and those going to Wembley, make some bloody noise for 90+ minutes. COYS!!!

Its a special occasion for us as a club, turning Wembley yellow and blue almost exactly 50 years on from the legendary day , I know one older fan who has dug out his scarf from 76 and cannot wait to get up there on Saturday, its a nice moment and means something to us. I was sceptical back in January when they released a special anniversary shirt would have looked ridiculous if we then went and lost at Doncaster but fair play they've done it proud. This game means almost nothing to City whose fans can barely muster the enthusiasm to travel , last year when they beat Forest there were hardly any celebrations at the final whistle, more interested in beating the queue for the tube
LiberalCommunist Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I won't know how to feel about this game until tomorrow night. If we win, it becomes a giant distraction. A draw or defeat and its a chance to showcase the club. And start our continued refreshening of the squad, with key rotation in the games that follow. As we make our way towards the play off arena end boss. This feels like the busiest end to a season ever. No time to even look forward to the games approaching. Even the EPL has managed to peak interest. Next season will be so dull by comparison. 1
goodymatt Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Looks like 2 random tickets together just popped up for this game if anyone missed out
Mattio Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I'm surprised additional blocks have not been released yet.

Sold out 3 days ago, no excuse not to be sorted by now. Our allocation was 3k less than the basic allocation for the semi final last season, why? Man city sales still under 22k. Game just a few days away, will be hard to arrange extra coaches etc. 1
TheAlehouseBrawlers Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Yeah, how hard can it be? Clearly stated “initial allocation” so even if they couldn’t release more over the weekend the it had to be first thing this morning. Probably down to the FA and just further shows how little they regard the fans.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I’m gutted - just realised the kick-off time is 5.15pm which means I’m going to miss it as I have another function to attend. Might get to stream a bit if I’m lucky. What a crap time for a kick-off! 🙄

In general the 36k allocations don't seem always to have sold out,so maybe there is some logic in the decision. Leeds in particular have had a real scramble for tickets it would seem.
Mattio Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Just watched back the Carabao cup final highlights and can't help but think it's going to be a similar day on Saturday - I can see City going ahead and us pulling back with the Saints end going mad, but eventually Haaland will score a tap in on 84 minutes to kill the game off. We're not going to make it easy but they just have so much class that over 90 mins they'll get the job done.
musesaint Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Is there a Fan Zone for this game similar to the Playoff Final in 2024?

I think if we drop points tomorrow night and Ipswich and Millwall win their mid-week games second place looks extremely unlikely so we would then be looking to protect that 4th place if we want to play the second leg at home. I'm not sure it would bother Tonda whichever way around it works out. If that was the case we can go strongest possible against City. If we are still in a position where beating Ipswich means its still all to play for regarding 2nd then the call for the manager is much harder. Edited 3 hours ago by beatlesaint
It's There Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Still waiting for more tickets to be available- any any idea if and when more may come up for sale?

Would be interested people's thoughts on the other places The green man has to be the worst pub in london, why our fans all turn up to it to drink almost £10 pints of terrible beer out of plastic pots, queue for an hour to get served and sing songs at the minimum wage bar staff who don't want to be there i have no idea. We on the other hand will be frequenting much higher end establishments off the beaten track that provide stylish surroundings, good beer and are away from football fans. 2

Not when we're in our country's capital city. There are much finer establishments to be visited.
