There was definetely some coming from block 45/46 area

You could hear booing from my seat in block 4, Wasn’t loud but loud enough you could hear it .

Thought it was out of order at the time.

Stephens may have fucked up more than usual recently but he didn’t deserve that when he came on.

I was at the game and didn’t hear a single boo.

Likewise I didnt hear at all, but clearly utterly pointless thing to do for a player who always gives maximum effort even if ability falls short occasionally.

Imagine booing one of your own, who always gives his all for the club.

Probably the same melts who applauded on Armel Bella-Kotchap that time after all his tantrums over the years.

Id much rather a Stephens than someone like him, thats for sure.

You could say that about any player who puts on the shirt

Well, yes, but we're talking about Stephens specifically here.

He is just another player, been here for a while, granted.

Has happened a lot over the last few seasons - some 'supporters' seem to actually relish it and look forward to him making a mistake

they dont need a lot of patience for the next one to roll along then do they ?

In all seriousness, no booing him is a no, no. I groan, heavily I must admit but not boo.

Hopefully with a new central defender coming in today he will be reduced to 4th choice which, at his age and ability level, is exactly what he should be.

There have always been supporters with the wrong attitude.

I remember when I had a season ticket in the East Stand and there was one chap who used to shout abuse about Mike Channon in his early days and later another so called 'supporter' who complained loudly at every opportunity about Alan Ball.

Possibly the same idiots I encountered in the East Stand years ago. Not all of them were kids, quite a few old enough to know better and setting a poor example.

Cap’tn Jack is a liability, however booing an individual player or indeed the whole team before the final whistle is moronic at best. In my opinion there’s little to justify doing it even after the final whistle, even if you’re upset/angry that the team lost a game of football - it’s completely the opposite to what being a supporter is all about in my book.

I can't pretend I'm ever happy to see him playing as I think he's miles off the level, but booing him is disrespectful. It's not his fault he's not good enough, it's the fault of those choosing to play him. He gives his best and is probably a sound bloke.

Two of the very, very finest to wear our shirt as well during halycon days for the club.

I dread to think what - assuming they’re still around - they’d have made of some of the garbage over the last five or so years!

Not good. He might not be the best but booing him isn’t going to help him. He always gives 100% for Saints.

and the opposition........................
