ART Posted 27 March, 2009 Share Posted 27 March, 2009 Kept down by Blackstock and Davies in the playoffs now the scenario of them playing out a repeat on the last day of the season leaves a nasty taste in my mouth. No chance of Blackstock doing what James Beattie did last season by being injured for the game.
Chez Posted 27 March, 2009 Share Posted 27 March, 2009 small chance of Smith playing, if on loan Turner is injured, perhaps the stage is set from him. On the other hand Notts County old boy McGoldrick might do the honours for us.

SaintRobbie Posted 27 March, 2009 Share Posted 27 March, 2009 he would like to come back here I was told I'd have liked that. He scores hatricks at St Mary's sometimes does Dexter! I think he's better tham DMG and Euell if I am honest.
andover pedro Posted 27 March, 2009 Share Posted 27 March, 2009 How come they are in a better position than us finacially coming up from division 1 last year have Notts Forest got an investor or something what with buying the lad up front from derby Earnshaw for a couple of mill and loads of loan players that we know arent free now Blackstock who is a decent striker at this level although cant understand why QPR let him go. Simple solution. We need to be clear of the trapdoor before kick off at Forest. DT Posted 27 March, 2009 Share Posted 27 March, 2009 The moment I heard about this I had a vision of him doing that scoring against us but not celebrating much thing they do these days. We have to be clear of trouble by the last day because if it's us or them they will win.
Ken Tone Posted 27 March, 2009 Share Posted 27 March, 2009 How come they are in a better position than us finacially coming up from division 1 last year have Notts Forest got an investor or something what with buying the lad up front from derby Earnshaw for a couple of mill and loads of loan players that we know arent free now Blackstock who is a decent striker at this level although cant understand why QPR let him go. Putting aside all the pro and anti -lowe arguments over how our situation was managed, in general a team that has come up and is well-supported will be better off than one in decline like us, because they will be paying mostly lower division wages, rather than carrying overpaid dead wood who've been relegated from a higher paid division. And even if they are not better off on a day-to day basis they are likely to be carrying less debt from previous duff transfers etc, since by definiton they have been successful recently or they would not have been promoted. My personal opinion of Blackstock is he is an ok striker at this level but nothing special, so he won't take QPR up to the premiership, but I'm still surprised at them lending him out now when he is a regular for them, and they don't seem ot have bought a flash replacement. rasher100 Posted 27 March, 2009 Share Posted 27 March, 2009 why did we let nile ranger who was he at our academy join newcastle? must have something if they wanted to sign him up?
St Marco Posted 27 March, 2009 Share Posted 27 March, 2009 The thing is Dexter is good and has done very well this season. He has scored 11 league goals from 26 starts making him 13th top scorer in the league. Meaning 1 goal nearly every 2 games. Not a bad ratio at all for a 22 year old. In contrast to say DMG who has scored 9 from 38 starts, a 1 goal every 4 games ratio. I would swap him for DMG in a heartbeat. Blackstock will score goals for Forest that is for sure. Lets just hope his new defence cancels it out by letting in a few more hey

Window Cleaner Posted 28 March, 2009 Share Posted 28 March, 2009 Tempting fate I fear. But this is like Andrew Davies all over again, everybody (well half of you anyway) were sh*t scared that he would be far too good for us and we wouldn't do anything against him. Result? Subbed at half time (I think or didn't even play) and we win 3-1. He's been chucked out of the side at Preston or so it would seem.Blackstock probably won't get a game against us unless he starts scoring in every match from next Saturday onwards the Forest fans will get on his case.
