  1. Today showed me two things that I already knew so am not suprised we lost. 1) Lambert and Lallana are our best two players by a long way and we absolutely rely on them for our 5 star attacking threat. 2) losing Papa and Antonio leaves us without any pace thus reducing our goal scoring threat even more. yesterday and most of preseason we have failed to create many goalscoring chances of much note. Did anyone really think we would look like the team of last season without these 4 players yesterday? the question for me is has AP got the funds to get players of papa or antonios class or has ML /NC decided that AP has spent enough and should use the loan market? Maybe NC is holding back the big money for Jan when he potentially has a new manager in place. If he has thoughts of replacing AP then he is likely to not let AP spend big this summer. We will be a top 6 side minimum with Lambert and Lallana back in the frame but we are woefully short of options if we get injuries or suspensions.
  2. i dont think i or anyone else doesnt agree that a derby match is more passionate, heated or tense. Im sure we all understand the reality of football today and the fact that if you take a child to the game you need to be a little careful. I totally agee with all of that but i still think the guys that got caught up in any trouble / went lookign for it are scum and whilst the punishments are harsh i have no sympathy for any of them. Hopefully they and others like them will learn a harsh lesson that will make future games a safer / less agressive place in the future. I think what some on here mistake is agreesion for passion as they are totally different things.
  3. yeah a football match is an event that is attended by adults and children alike. why should i put up with mindless idiots creating an agressive threatening atmosphere outside the ground clearly looking for trouble and throwing missiles. if you think that is acceptable behaviour then you are clearly in possession of an IQ that will need watering if it gets much lower.
  4. football hooligans are scum. I took my 7 year old to that match and frankly whether they hurt anyone or not they turned a family event into a situation where children could have got hurt. I for one think a harsh punishment is a great way to make people think twice in future. No sympathy from where i sit.
  5. or he could pay to go to games, watch the games and perhaps not get involved with things that are none of his business. I dont remember him stumping up circa £12million to give him a right to have a say. As far as I can see the club are running it with some sensible business acumen and this alone will secure the future of the club. its not difficult, pay to see a game either up front or game by game, cheer when we win, boo when we lose. Isnt what footy is about ? all the other shyte us just well shyte annd not worth losing sleep over.
  6. Its either a fans forum or it isnt. open house & open questions. If it was anything else I doubt solent would put thier name to it. Im not saying of course that NC would want to control the questions but IMO it is unlikely he would get his way at this type of forum.
  7. What makes you say that?
  8. Out of interest Alpine as you dont seem to be happy with the way things are progressing, what would you do if you were in charge?
  9. its no worse than that site http://www.saintsweb.co.uk oh.
  10. dairylea todd. sorry best i good think off
  11. bradley wright phillips played in man citys first team. enough said!
  12. i think this is a fairly pointless thread
  13. My season ticket arrived at the weekend. I used the new easy payment option. I paid in 1 easy payment.
  14. beacause he has pace. the barnard and lambert pairing lacks pace.
  15. I totally agree with what you and Dune are saying. Labours tenure has destroyed the country. the working class need to wak up and smell the coffee. if you rack up debt somebody has to pay it off eventually.
  16. He is very unagressive for a fullback. We let him go what more do you want to know? But then you think Todger is better than Lambert so you will probably be calling him to be playing for England after a few games.
  17. Random computer nerd who runs a website asks to come into the training ground Its not much of a suprise that they said its inlikely
  18. Opinions are like a-rseholes, everyone has got one. You my friend are deluded and talking out of yours How you can say Todger will out score Lambert who has scored over 60 league goals in two seasons is frankly ridiculous. I think forest and leicesters performance as the promoted sides from league 1 last year prove that the difference in standard between the top of L1 and the championdhip isnt particularly great. I would bet that if a poll of football fans i league 1 were asked who they would have up front the saints pair would get more votes. Tiem to remove those rose tinted glasses and gear up for an almighty struggle to get back to the championship.
  19. FFS do you ever stop bleating on and on and on. People go to football to watch a good game, support thier team and hopefully win. Absolutely nothing else effects the amount of people turning up each week. The Ted Bates trophy is an insignificant pre season warm up nothing more. Ted Bates himself is remembered by the fans themselves not through statues or named tounaments. If you truely beleive that Ted bates and his memory is the cornerstone of the club then you will remember him in your heart no in a frigging statue of game against fc whoever.
  20. Why do they need to market them? Surely the customer base is compeltely aware of the product and what it is likely to cost. The only real issue is the 1300 or so people that have been inconvenienced by the lack of an installment plan. Of those 1300 (or so) most have personal finance options open to them leaving a small minority that cant get credit. Maybe those people shouldnt be incouraged to get into more debt further. Im not sure i agree with very late bearing in mind that they were realeased what nearly 8 weeks ahead of the start of the season? Its all ifs and buts and frankly there are bigger things to worry about in this world.
  21. Personally I feel that there are few people sitting, looking and waiting for things that can be used as a dig at the club. In the grand scale of things IMO they are all minor insignificant points and not worth getting worked up about. There are certainly many things in this wrold that are worthy of challenging but installment plans, names of suites and whether we announce a pre season friendly in good time are not. All IMO of course. I find the pettiness of some of the whinges far more frustrating than the events themselves.
  22. And if we dont signe someone soon all the waynekers on here will frive me mad with thier inane negative / cortese is the devil type posts
  23. no its you who is unbelievable.
  24. some people are never happy. I suggest you follow an american sport that is scripted to keep people happy. Maybe WWF wrestling is the way forward for you. The fact that the only bid on the table to keep the club alive was from ML/NC suggests to me that they have the right to do the **** they like if they deliver a saints team for us to watch
  25. That bull****, if these england players are only being made to look good by all the world class players around them at thie clubs do you not think managers of the likes of ferguson, jose M etc would work that our an replace them to make thier teams better? I cant remember matty LT making anyu of his fellow saints players look ing good
