Sickening scenes at the end of the game shown on sky, klopp having selfies and signing autographs for bunch of cùnťs in the Itchen stand, would of hoped a few Saints would have had a word and told them all to f*ck off.

F*ck off https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=i&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwij6Nbb4rXhAhU1AGMBHQguATUQzPwBegQIARAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.telegraph.co.uk%2Ffootball%2F2017%2F06%2F07%2Fliverpool-end-virgil-van-dijk-interest-andapologise-southampton%2F&psig=AOvVaw3B2XXeQ82CTUvZZ30q9Fpg&ust=1554444383501090 https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40194862 Really hope Man City win the league.

I knew England had played a few games away from Wembley recently but had realised this would be their first 'competitive ' home game away from Wembley since 2006, would be good recognition for the club if we get this when you think of all the other venues that could have been chosen. If they price it right should comfortably sell out although bound to be the skate muppet with the bell there again.
-
The 2018/19 season will be remembered for going out of three cup competitions on penalties
-
Big of a mix that side, certainly not our strongest u23 side but perhaps reflects the club are more interested in the PL2 title and PL international cup. If we get round anyone know where final will be held? Fratton Park?
-
Would be a big boost if Van Dijk is out injured, would rather not play against him, can't stand the bloke, although Liverpool could probably rest him anyway as we don't have any strikers. They've got champions league 1/4 final a few days later as well.
-
Would obviously love it if we could win or draw and derail their title bid. Cardiff play twice before we next play. That will give us a better idea of what is left to do for survival. How much extra prize money do you get for each league position? Might be an incentive for Ralph if he's promised the funds to strengthen his squad.
-
I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who can make it. I went to the last round away to Bournemouth Poppies, good chance to see some youngsters coming through in a competitive game, if we win then we'll play Havant and Waterlooville in the final.
-
Like Ward-Prowse he is on a good run of form, deserves the international caps, does Vestergaard not get in Denmark’s squad any more?
-
Fair play to Romeu, he's a good lad who deserves recognition , but quite surprised Saints agreed to him playing in it if the game wasn't a recognised fixture. Catalonia won't become an independent territory any time soon, Spanish govt / military police/ EU will see to that.
-
At least he's out of the one cap wonder club and is now a proper established international with two. Just needs a handful more to catch up with Le Tiss. Despite all the goals I've found England games dull this week, sums up international football, for the most part lacking in competitive edge. International breaks (for fans of Premier league clubs like ourselves) are best spent taking in some local non league football.

Southgate is a w&nker completely sucked in by big club players regardless of whether they actually play. The fact he only called up JWP after others dropped out shows he never really wanted him.
-
I think Brighton will be fine looking at their fixtures, but when you add in the FA Cup semi final on 6th April v Man City it is a busy period, no way can Glenn Murray play in all the games but I'm sure he'll make an appearance against us. Chelsea play Cardiff then Brighton in next two games, could do with them picking up a bit.
-
That's right unfortunately, Spurs season ticket holders could apply in a ballot for them , no tickets available for anyone else. They should have given us a small allocation in usual away end to test out the facilities, we could definitely have sold a couple of hundred. Hope the u18s get a win up there to spoil the party.

Looks like it's time for the "relegation price 2019" thread.
JRM replied to tisspahars's topic in The Saints
I'm not really a betting expert so won't comment on the odds , but i am certain there will be some unexpected results between now and the end of the season. Cardiff could get something at home to Chelsea who are so inconsistent, and Liverpool go there a few days after a tough 2nd leg away to Porto, just looking at their Fulham game yesterday and it's possible they'll slip up in a game like this. Burnley losing 4 in a row stands out combined with a tough run in, they will need to beat Cardiff at home. -
That story just doesn’t sound right, the origins of it are vague, it’s not mentioned at all in the newspaper this guy was supposed to work for, saints aren’t aware of the incident, odd one but not sure I believe it.
-
Yeah I agree, although this break includes international matches so preparations will depend on which of our players are travelling around, if Yoshida is in the Far East he often sits out the next league game. Hoijberg and Bednarek will be away, bound to be a few others once all the squads are announced, not sure if Brighton usually have many call ups.
-
Frustrating thing looking at the league table is there really isn't much that separates 7th down to 18th, when you think of some of the clueless football we played under Hughes and number of times poor defending and fitness has seen us throw away a winning position (plus losing to Cardiff twice) we could have been comfortably top half by now. Weird feeling getting used to winning at home again, after 2nd half of season with Puel , Pellegrino and Hughes we'd become so used to never winning at home, Ralph has already chalked up 4 home wins.
-
Brighton should beat Millwall in the Cup next week but hopefully it will be a hard physical contest, they will then have a FA Cup semi final at Wembley the week after we play them as a distraction. Having won their last two league games they'll think they're almost safe. We had a good win there in the league cup back in August, would have beaten them at St Marys as well but for an injury time pen. Trains from Southampton direct look ok, coming from London bit of a pain with bus replacements from Three Bridges.
-
You'd certainly hope so. After this game we only have 8 games remaining of which Ings can't play against Liverpool anyway so you'd hope he'd be able to contribute in the other 7 matches. I forget that Lemina even plays for us , his impact this season has been minimal. Wouldn't surprise me if Hoijberg bags another suspension before the end of the season so we'll need him. I just can't see us beating Spurs, we'll concede at least 2.
-
Been a strange season, a number of players who you'd have expected to be influential in u23s have either been moved into the 1st team squad or loaned out. Wouldn't have surprised me if they'd struggled because of that but on the contrary we're top of the league and into the semi finals of the International Cup and the prestigious Hampshire Senior Cup where Basingstoke Town await us in the semis. Good to see progress being made.
-
We've had some of our best players out , our rivals might look at top scorer Ings being out as a reason why we'll struggle as well.
-
Might as well forget about both of them for the Spurs game as well, we then have a 3 week break to the Brighton game so aim to have them fit for that. A week later we play Liverpool where bl00dy Ings can't play again due to parent club rule so he'll get another fortnight rest to Wolves. Lucky we're not relying on his goals for survival
-
Seems mad that Ward-Prowse is still only 24, feels like he's been around forever, he'll qualify for a testimonial in a couple of years! If he can keep up this form he'll deserve another call up, easy to forget that both him and Redmond are already full England internationals. Could do with him threatening a bit more from his free kicks, hardly scored many considering his reputation for set pieces.
-
Obviously expect to lose, 2 or 3-0, but Saints might surprise us and United have some injuries plus they play away to PSG on Tuesday so need to have one eye on that game. We've had a decent record at Old Trafford last few years.
