I'd be interested in one of the chalks, but I'd also need the rules, so I'm not really interseted in Junction 9's consortium. Any other's out there want to split the cost?
-
It would sound excellent, but Guly came in while Pardew was manager. Also, we've got too many idiots who would refuse to sing Cortese's name.
-
Don't listen to this idiot.

saintsplayer (on the os) It's better than the threads on here make it sound. Remember, you only really hear about it when it goes wrong. It's how I always listen and I've missed very little commentary over the years. It started a couple of minutes late last week, but then you can just switch to the opposition commentary in seconds.

Breaking saints news - loan signing?? (Nicholas Bignall, from Reading)
norwaysaint replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
Great, he can replace Barnard who's been getting into fights in nightclubs, we don't want players like that. -
No irony to beat the scenes of hundreds of Levellers fans wearing fashionably crusty clothing singing in unison "There's only way in life and that's your own."

I'm always refer to myself as a "registered user". That's what's on my passport.

Junction 9 is always on here having a dig at Bournemouth and their fans, the bloke is obsessed. Change the record mate.
-
You'd have thought so.
-
I normally believe in innocent until proven guilty, but in my opinion this is such a serious and stupid act that we ought to just get rid of Barnard and I hope he goes to prison.

Appreciation thread for all those unpaid volunteer mods

Nutshell everything here, except the stuff about Ponty understanding satire. Don't overdo it. -
Another nomination for Deppo.

I'm afraid the only really petty and vindictive mod still remains, almost certainly the one who banned you and Kadeem, because he doesn't like your sense of humour. The same mod who in the 8 years or so I've been on versions of this forum has never shown the remotest sign of humour. Being satirical when a mod doesn't get satire is a worse crime than racism, personal abuse or being interminably dull.

Although I can't stand Robsk, he'd probably be a pretty good mod and gets my vote.

That is shocking! Stevegrant is just taking the **** out of everyone who paid for this site. He's taken all of your money and has just ****ed off to work on a different football site!

Bournemouth chairman "not welcome" directors box (sigh)
norwaysaint replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
That's kind of my point. It means you have to doubt the veracity of everything you have heard or read about this, which makes the opinions being developed because of it laughable. They are based on nothing but rumour. -

I also enjoy hitting my children and get angry when these loony lefty tree huggers say I can't. Why don't they carry on with their shopping and let me get on with it. Just because we're not allowed to hit other adults, doesn't mean children should get the same rights. We need to hit them to stop them behaving in an inappropriate way or disagreeing with us. -

I can't see any official club statement on this, yet people are reacting to it like it's another definite piece of damning evidence for or against Cortese. Why do people believe every rumour as long as it's in favour of what they already believe? Even the details given about this alleged story don't give enough evidence for anyone to make an informed comment on it. Nearly every post on here is pretty lame kneejerk reaction. Can you have a lame kneejerk reaction? -
That would probably freak them out a bit.

I don't pay 5 pounds a year for this kind of service. Imagine if other companies treated their customers with such contempt.

As far as I can work out, this forum is becoming rubbish because there is no humour allowed in it anymore and it's just full of dull threads with people saying the same things again and again about the team and management.' and this forum is becoming rubbish because there are too many people posting silly humourous comments when all we want are simple topics with only football related comments on them. Actually both of these things were true when I first posted on the (other) forum about ten years ago. There have always been people saying that the forum is going downhill and that it's not as good as it used to be, even in the days that people are being nostalgiac about when they complain. Saints being disappointing and the forum not being as good as it was are pretty much the main constants we've been able to rely on in the last ten years.

Tests have shown that hands free phones are just as dangerous as hands-on. People using them while driving show the same or worse characteristics as someone seriously over the alcohol limit. It may not be illegal, but using a hands-free phone is not safer. This has been known for years. I don't get as annoyed by the people who use hands free (like I said, it's legal) as I do by the people who act as if they're being good by doing it. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/handsfree-mobile-kits-just-as-dangerous-for-driving-483090.html http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/magazine/7152551.stm http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=060815161706.0xbugxlr&show_article=1

I am currently reading both: The Religion by Tim Willocks: I loved his first three books (Green River Rising especially) and this had great reviews on Amazon, loads with nearly all giving 5 stars, but it's a bloody, historical novel, which isn't really my thing. 2 reasons to read it, one not to, so it's getting a go. Making History by Stephen Fry, I like his books, but they're never as good as you expect them to be, so I'm hoping this is better. I'm listening to The Time Traveller's Wife audiobook in the car, seems pretty good so far, funny idea. The last audiobook was Roddy Doyle's The Woman Who Walked into Doors. It was 6 and a half CDs of grimness, then the CD was damaged just when it came to the pay-off bit at the end. Last book was Pandaemonium by Christopher Brookmyre. I've loved everything he's written, especially when he's ranting about the church, but this was actually pretty rubbish. He went all science fiction on me and he can't write from a kid's perspective at all.

So did all of this just come down to stevegrant not liking/managing to understand Kadeem's sense of humour, then just banning him without giving a reason out of sheer paranoia? Small man syndrome strikes again.
