http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/portsmouth/7048325/Sidelined-finance-director-Tanya-Robins-resigns-from-Portsmouth.html Strange really, resigns as a director but still stays, can't be for the wages!

Gleeson wins the Annual Lowe Award for most gammon-cheeked player of the season.
-
But unlike the soaps, this is entertaining.
-
Far too simplistic - the first part of the season was a write off - we had no pre-season, no decent players, no coaches, no scouts. Our pre-season was Sept/Oct. AP had to come in and sort the whole lot out. Play offs were always a long shot, even if we don't make it we will go up automatically next season.

The tip of the iceberg. Everyone in football knows it and has known it for years.

http://www.exetercityfc.co.uk/page/NewsFeatures/0,,10436~1931094,00.html Nice article on Seaborne. I would think Perryman is better placed to comment than some of the experts on here who have probably never seen him play.

Nah - was on a blackberry.

Text from a mate who is a Cov Fan: " Great signing for you, most Cov fans are bemused at Coleman for letting him go but its all down to money and he is probably our highest paid player, plus if we play him anymore we have to pay West Ham a load of money. Another classic transfer deal by a very poorly managed club". We are lucky to have Ward and lucky to have AP, NC nd ML too I reckon!
-
I would say this is the death knell for Lancashire's Saints career. I still expect us to sign Ward and Thomas to go. I see the Seaborne signing as one for the future plus the added bonus that he is a left footed centre back.

I think Barnard would be a better option than Jackson, and probably about £500k cheaper.

Someone on one of the skate's mesage boards thinks that there could be interest in them from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (the mega rich racing horse owner)...you have to laugh, this could be their "Paul Allen" moment.

http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Portsmouth-crisis-continues-as-FIFA-set-to-demand-action-over-failure-to-pay-clubs-and-agents-Exclusive-article283021.html Some enjoyable Sunday morning reading, it seems FIFA are preared to take action even if the Premier League won't.

Lol. Just when you think it can't get any funnier something even more hilarious happens.
-
The statement reads like a sketch from Monty Python.
-
Pure comedy - they don't seem to know that a petition has been formally served even though they dispute it and don't seem to know if the VAT, PAYE and NI contributions have been paid or if they "are about to be paid"....presumably from the sales proceeds of their players...assuming the buying clubs don't decide that now is a great time to re-negotiate....or if there is any NI and PAYE to pay this month...... which if there isn't means the players haven't been paid again and can therefore leave for free.

I can honestly say that this saga has been the only thing worth watching all over Christmas. It could get even better tonight - pitch invasions = fines and points deductions.
-
It really is a soap opera (except far more entertaining), that is the 4th negative article just today on their woes. The more the other creditors see these articles the quicker they will be queueing up to get their money first - HMRC will be right at the front though!
-
Probably not wrong but as part of the package the buyer would need to take on the debt. With so many factions involved who all own different parts of the ground/car park what do you get for your £1 other than a multi milion pound debt, Victorian stadium, no training ground and customers that wear "comedy" hats and ring bells.

You are welcome, uplifting I agree!

The home game against Leicester the season we stayed up on the last day 2 seasons ago - can't remember who it was but we were 1-0 up at the time and a few mins from the end he missed an absolute sitter infront of the Chapel end.

Pretty much how I see it although I would like to see them survive in some form or another as I think our own football supporting experience would be poorer for not having a genuine rivallry let them start again in the non-league or something.
