  1. He has worked in Russia, so is familiar with working abroad and language barriers. Maybe he could take Rudiger and Nianggolan along with him
  2. I'm never ITK regarding us, but a extremely reliable source told me today that Ali Dia has just gained his coaching badges and George Weah's cousin will be giving Les a call tomorrow morning. Expect an announcement tomorrow afternoon, FACT!
  3. I don't think Puel is a bad coach and has good tactical knowledge. However I believe that he is not coach we need at the club. I think his message doesn't come across to the players and he struggles to motivate and bond with them. With us aspiring to be a solid top 10 premier league club, we need a coach who likes to play attacking football and can attract players to the club. A big name like Mancini, Pellegrini or Emery (preferred choice).
  4. If you want to stop these jihadists, go after the people who radicalized the bombers. Then see who they work for and I find the core of the problem. Of course it would be hard to get all the nonsense of the web, but we have enough hate preachers who have been preaching for years with authorities doing too little to stop them. As said above, we have been to tolerant to these people. I have no problem with Mosques etc, however Sharia courts and religious schools (Christianity, Islam or any other religion) should be banned. I had the misfortune to go to a Christian school and thinking back the bullish!t we were taught was crazy. Everyone should be able to follow the religion they choose to, but in a moderate way without telling others what they believe is wrong is it's different to their beliefs. On a positive note after this horrendous attack, its was good to see people uniting and brave people stepping in to help the wounded shortly after the attack.
  5. Giovanni van Bronckhorst has Feyenoord playing some nice stuff. They score loads of goals and have let in few goals. Phillip Cocu's style at PSV is more conservative and PSV dropped many points this/last season. Has to be said that both have strong squads and it would have been a farce if one of them had finished outside the top 3. Peter Bosz from Ajax would be a great appointment (won't happen), the guy has Ajax playing some amazing stuff and watch them beat United Wednesday in the Europa league final.
  6. If he gets the sack from PSG, we should try and sign him asap. Proven in La Liga, lost the Champions League draw to some dodgy refereeing and relatively big name. To attract players, and retain some other, we need a manager with a proven record.
  7. Sisto is very much a raw talent, but with the right coaching and environment he could become a very good player. Got good pace and can score goals (something we seem to have forgotten).
  8. Ziyech is a amazing player and is thriving under Peter Bosz at Ajax. If I am right Ajax paid around 10 million euro for Ziyech, we would have to pay silly money to get him. I doubt if Ziyech would've suited to the PL, he would have to bulk up significantly. The player we should have signed last summer is Pione Sisto from Celta de Vigo. Celta signed him for 5 million from some Danish club last summer.
  9. has signed a 2 year deal with former Saints manager Nigel Adkins joining him as assistant
  10. I can't see the point in playing a player, that has been injured for most of the season, just for the last 2 games. Say he gets injured again and he will lose part of the pre season. If I was the club I would send him on holiday and make him come back early for pre season, to work on his fitness.
  11. Shaw coming back from United . It won't happen, but for the sake of his career it would be a good choice. Play most weeks with less pressure and a known environment.
  12. Could add Maguire from Hull to that list. Maybe we should be looking in the championship for talented players. For Keane and Gibson I hope they make the right choice of club. Going to a club were they wouldn't play could harm their careers.
  13. Wasn't Ben Gibson from Middlesbrough supposed to be decent? Haven't seen him play, but the papers were raving about him.
  14. Puel lost Wanyama, Pelle, Mane and in January Van Dijk.
  15. No Schneiderlin?
  16. Maybe being rested for Saturday, its unlikely we will get something out of this game.
  17. The goal from Clasie, http://m.voetbalzone.nl/social_item.asp?uid=8564
  18. Glad to see Stephens doing well, Yoshida has improved too. Would like to see Stephens play next to VVD. The question now is, which PL top club will Stephens be linked to first in the rags? My money's on Arsenal.
  19. We have 2 games in hand..
  20. Exactly, if I was the club I wouldnt risk playing VVD. Get him fit and in amazing shape for next season, no need to rush him through his recovery just to get him fit for the last game. To many players get rushed through their recovery, just to get injured soon after (Arsenal players being a good example).
  21. It all depends on what kind of muscle strain Gabbi has. It's classed grade 1 till 3, with 1 being a minor strain (3-5 weeks) and grade 3 the most severe, on the verge of a torn muscle (around 8 weeks). It also depends if the player has had a similar injury in the past.
  22. Pochettino demands a lot from his players, high pressing and covering a lot of ground. We all know his teams tire towards the end of the season, lets hope it starts against us. Would be very happy with a draw, Gabbi to continue scoring.
  23. If that was Saints I would be happy we had progressed to the next round. However I would have zero pride in the way it was done. Neymar and Suarez dived, kicked and tried to get other players booked all game. It was disgusting to see that attitude at the top level of football, at any level its unacceptable. You can say whatever you want, but UEFA needed Barcelona to progress and the ref certainly helped with some supicious decisions. Barcelona have a far greater fan base around the world and having them move on to the next round means a lot more tv viewers around the world and more revenue for UEFA. And we all know UEFA has little to do with football and a lot more to do with money.
  24. Barcelona were done massive favour yesterday by UEFA or whoever gave the ref that brown paper bag..
  25. Former Saint Lee Molyneux scores a late equalizer for Morcambe against the mighty Skates down in League 2.
