I'm not there today but apparently there's a bloke sat with the directors wearing a Red Bull coat!

    Anyone on earlobe watch?

Is this Hudds away kit with no sponsor on it? I'm confused. Their home kit is blue and white stripes.

Yes. Sponsored by Paddy Power who, subversively, launched some kind of 'save the strip' (?) campaign after taking their logo off the shirt following a hoax sash sponsorship which you may remember... short answer: yes.

    Clear penalty there on Vestergaard

I understand why most of the 1st team are sitting out but I hope we don’t stuff up a decent cup run. This team should have enough, hopefully a lot of them have a point to prove.

Yet to see a replay of it but it seems so. Surprised it wasn't even checked by VAR.

Yep, replay shows it was a clear shirt pull but outside the area.

This game showing the weakness of our squad TBH. Danso, Adams, Long, Romeu all very, very poor.

  17. Default

Lets hope our recruitment moving forward is better than last summer. Danso and Adams a complete waste of time and have added nothing to the squad at all.

Not sure how you can judge Adams when he has had literally no service so far. Hudds sitting deep as well so there's very little space for him to operate in.

Adams should have squared that for Long to miss.

OK - Adams should have done much better with that chance.

    Poor from Adams there

He is out of his depth - against a poor Championship team. He should have buried that chance after great work by JWP but instead took a stutter step.

The play at the moment is reminiscent of how we were playing a few weeks back. Slow, ponderous and with no threat.

Is Boufal seeing much of the ball? Surely an opportunity for him to impress today as he should be the main creative spark in this team.

Good delivery from JWP but keeper did very well to come out and clear it.

Won the free kick. But I agree, he should be running rings round Huddersfield. JWP main creative force atm.

    JwP our standout player

The rest... can see why they are in the bench, if that

Good movement and skill from Smallbone until the shot! You watch Adams movement (or lack of it). Just now he was on his heels when if he had anticipated he could have been in.

Maybe a loan for him is the best thing to rebuild his confidence - right now he looks terrible.

Saints still displaying a lack of composure in the attacking third.

Looks a decent player. Hes right footed so that shot was weak!

It's tempting to judge these players, but not long ago people were writing off Stephens, JWP and McCarthy.

In all fairness, this is a very much cobbled together second 11 who will have never played together in this formation before. It's no great surprise they aren't tearing Hudds a new one.

But yeah, overall, nobody is really taking the chance to impress.

Yellow for Long. Stood on someone. Accidental.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Huddersfield nick a goal before Saints.

Never seen a ref do that. Called a free kick on Boufal for handball because he grabbed the ball after going to ground. I wish refs would do that more, stop all the diving and conning the ref.

I thought it was for the shirt pull?

Hope the club are not charging entry fees for this disjointed shambles of a football match.

No yellows for all those Huddersfield shirt pulls, but Long gets one for clipping a player's foot.

Na it was a cynical trip. Worthy of a yellow.
