Matthew Le God Posted 17 June, 2009 Share Posted 17 June, 2009 (edited) "Translated" from the Polish clubs website. Coastal is a club with ambition mocarstwowe, because activists are planning to strengthen the sound. In Lechii Gdańsk from next season is to have Grzegorz Rasiak! As part of the settlement sent to Southampton Matthew Bak, Arkadiusz Mysona and ... fitness trainer. Transfer Rasiak is expected to cost 300 million euros plus those players and coach. http://lechia-gdansk.pl/ Arkadiusz Mysona a 28 year old left back - Takes a good free kick Matthew Bak a 26 year old goalkeeper Edited 17 June, 2009 by Matthew Le God
dubai_phil Posted 17 June, 2009 Share Posted 17 June, 2009 That's good, having our own coach next year will cut down on the costs of hiring them for away games. Won't be much fun for the driver though as if it's from Poland it is bound to be left hand drive

I don't think they would, let alone anyone, pay 3 mill euros for Rasiak, I was just highlighting it. This is obviously a gossip column. 300k is far too low as well, whatever we think of him. Keeper: http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/spieler/32868/mateusz-bak/profil.html Defender: http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/spieler/33196/arkadiusz-mysona/profil.html No, it's 300,000 - at least if my knowledge of Russian works with Polish! The word used in the original article is almost exactly the same as the Russian for thousand. Oh, and one other thing - the keeper's name is Bak, but as there's a little diacritic under the 'a' in his name it would actually be pronounced 'bonk'. As good a reason as any to sign him I'd have thought...

Miltonaggro Posted 17 June, 2009 Share Posted 17 June, 2009 Apparently, the polish trainer has undercut the existing Saints coaching staff by 40% and is prepared to work Saturday and Sunday with no overtime rate (supski value); this is a symptom of the free market economy but then again the club must cut its cloth accordingly at the present time. Lettuces, damp proof courses, or fitness, we are in a recession. Frankly, Nigel Farage must be delighted...

Smirking_Saint Posted 17 June, 2009 Share Posted 17 June, 2009 There is probably some truth, why we would need a nother keeper is beyond me, unless Davis is closer to the door than has been made out. NickG Posted 17 June, 2009 Share Posted 17 June, 2009 think about it, who exactly is signing these players? Agreeing their costs/contracts etc? would Rasiak, who is after good money go back to Poland when he is on good contract here? Rasiak_33 goals Posted 18 June, 2009 Share Posted 18 June, 2009 they got a very rich sponsor-owner.. he wants to build a strong team, this antisemitic incident with Mysona I would not pay too much attention, even thou it is idiotic, there was a derby... match, in Lodz a city witch had the biggest jewish population in Poland before war, you can say the jews was in majority... there is no jews in Poland anymore, a few thousend. there is hatered and rivality between the teams , so they use any "weak spot" to attack I think Rasiak will do very well in polish PL, there is a "risk" (most polish fans was extreamly dissapointed with Rasiak in national team, three different managers choosed him, so this is not his fault... that there are no better strikers, but fans really hated him, he became most "popular" polish player on you tube, with songs and mockery, even thou we still have no other striker better than him, hehe, and if he will be topscorer in polish league then ) he might play in South Africa World Cup,
