ooohTerryHurlock Posted 20 June, 2009 Share Posted 20 June, 2009 .... Including money he raises from player sales, so not that much of a war chest really is it??? How much revenue will KK generate if he is appointed manager??? Do you think the exec boxes would be empty if he was here?? or do you think people would want to be on the Le Tiss/King Kev Revolution Bus as it sets sail for the premiership???? Just get the deal done - and lets get cracking.....

lordswoodsaints Posted 20 June, 2009 Share Posted 20 June, 2009 A long queue of buyers?......I very much doubt it! My guess is that keegan would want big money if we are shackled with the -10 points but maybe only half that if we can wriggle out of it,so pinnacle are doing all they can to overturn the decision because they havnt got the dosh but don't want a cheap option manager. moon monkey Posted 20 June, 2009 Share Posted 20 June, 2009 That better be 20 million to get back to the premiership not just the championship. He will be living on a cloud if he needed that much just to get up to the championship. As for player sales, well he could raise enough to get a new kettle for the training ground. bmthred Posted 20 June, 2009 Share Posted 20 June, 2009 i doubt the amount has been quoted by kk, and if any manager needs 20 million just to get promoted from league 1 then they are not worth employing. i hope that this is just the usual lazy journalism and that kk is apointed. KMondo Posted 20 June, 2009 Share Posted 20 June, 2009 Wow only 20 mil required. I would have thought he would need a lot more than that And that includes the money raised from player sales, so only 19 million really. What a bargain.

Matthew Le God Posted 23 June, 2009 Share Posted 23 June, 2009 when directly asked, twice, MLT refused to rule out KK as manager He actually made it sound more that Keegan was one of a number of people he was asking for advice as to who the manager should be.
NickG Posted 23 June, 2009 Share Posted 23 June, 2009 don't think he said for advice in this one. point I was making the guy was asking him about KK for manager, he could easily said "no" or "it was only advising etc not to be manager" - particularly as he is aware of the publicity following the meeting. He did say I have spoken to a number of people and want to get this right, just this one was photographed - but this was an obvious time for him to clarify/deny it if he is not considering KK for manager - he didn't. Not saying he is going to be manager, but think, from that interview, and TL's and Crouch comments - he is definately being considered.
Matthew Le God Posted 23 June, 2009 Share Posted 23 June, 2009 He has also said about the Keegan picture/rumour of him being manager that it is a case of "2 + 2 and coming to 5".
NickG Posted 23 June, 2009 Share Posted 23 June, 2009 not heard that quote. Did you not think it was an easy and obvious time, with interviewing pursuing manager line, for him to deny it?
Matthew Le God Posted 23 June, 2009 Share Posted 23 June, 2009 I think he didn't deny that Keegan "may" be manager because it is still a possibility. However I think he is lower down the list perhaps.
1976_Child Posted 23 June, 2009 Share Posted 23 June, 2009 A good point someone made above about the extra revenue a KK + MLT duo would bring in. So long as the club didn't try and stiff us with silly prices I would bet my left testicle that we would get way better gates with them in charge than over the last season. Last season it was £24 a ticket on the day. I would hope that they would be sensibly priced at around £17/18 and season tixs cheaper as well. I heard that Blackburn are flogging STs for £99 - in the prem? Chrikey, makes you think eh. SFC is def a good buy for Mr Investor and I am sure that he has more business savy than RL and will prefer to get the stadium full and buzzing as soon as possible. Bring it on! KK in the dug-out, MLT in the boardroom, reasonably priced tix and the most passionate fans in the land. We can't fail! We will have won the Champions League within five years for sure!! UP THE GLORIOUS SAINTS!
NickG Posted 23 June, 2009 Share Posted 23 June, 2009 I think he didn't deny that Keegan "may" be manager because it is still a possibility. However I think he is lower down the list perhaps. that was what I was trying to say (probably badly!) he clearing is considering him or would have got rid of rumour. Not sure or convinced he is first choice. About only thing I have heard from the good source recently was that KK was being considered but MLT was leaning towards another manager. Who knows!
