Anyone care to shed anylight (or offer up their views) on what he means by this???

"Despite continual outside interference with our bid we're committed to completing a deal as we feel it's in the best long-term interests of Southampton football club, which is obviously what I care about."

The Football League??

The FA??

The Administrators??

The Creditors??

Rival consortiums??

A N Others??

based on the concerns which I heard about wednesday, I think he means rival bidders trying to squeeze a late deal. If I had to bet I would put my money on MJ being the main culprit but this part is just my opinion.
Perhaps that is the case. I had hoped his rival offer would have only come into play if Pinnacle fail, which to be fair at present they might well do unless they blink.

If they are going to invest in KK who is said to want big money to spend -10 should nopt be a problem, if they want the business to run on its own steam then it will be a problem

I think this is unlikely from what I am hearing from that group. Anyway, they could not interfere whilst the exclusivity period was in place and although it seems to have ended last night I do not expect the group to have much influence in the next few days. It is either the other group in touch with the Administrator or others listed in the initial post.

I wish MJ would shut the fooook up until his 'consortium' get given approval to proceed...until then...button it.

I did wonder for a min that perhaps RL was stirring it..

IMHO there could be one name missing from the original list

despite the cr*p i got from some,

The leaks originated in the City

Somebody waits in the wings.

They don't have enough money to do a deal with Fry

They could well have been messing before we went into Admin

They could well have been looking to do something with the Council

They have friends on here who post

No evidence it is them but if all possibilities are being mentioned then this should also

Now, you can make about 6 names/groups fit into that list, and I am sure as heck not going to speculate as to which one of them it may be, nor even on who they are but I was trying to make a comment more than once on here about being worried, which got (fairly) tarnished because of who I was helping out 3 weeks ago.

Point is something's been going on and now MLT has mentioned it

Apparently, RL has the ear of Mawhinney

(Makes me laugh, all these people that think that RL has gone Well, He Aint )

.... As python used to say .... "He's just restin' "

The answer to your question is "Rival Consortiums" and you only have to read today's Echo for further enlightenment Steve.

Unlikely Ron but I have it on good authority TRUE. Perhaps you should question a little more closely what THAT group are telling you?

Of course a rival bidder could interfere despite the exclusivity. Letters, emails, phone calls to creditors, FL, MF.

If I wanted to disrupt a rival bid, I would, for instance let the FL league know that I would accept to with hold the clubs right of appeal. Its not hard.

Hmmm you have me thinking Phil. Who is conspicuous by his recent absence?

What was Paul Hardcastle's first big hit?

Could the answer may lie somewhere between 18 and 20! ;):D

Now that works logically except for my one point about "messing before admin", then think about "outside" influences

Like I said around 6 names fit the bill, but not many fit all of them

Fulthorpe Cousins Salz Merrington PA there is such a list who could be added. They first 3 have friends on here and are reportedly waiting with a £5m? fall back if all else fails.Could it be them that is alluded to.

Jackson 5 and that includes Rupes on the triangle and some dancers on this forum.....

All this pretence phil and nick...be more open and show us some luv and honesty..You know you want to.....Jackson do not make me laugh...Wasters.

I doubt your friends are blameless. Whether any of the outside partiesd are intentionally trying to destabilise is difficult to know. I want Pinnalce to win as they are pole position to move, if they fail then I will be happy to back whoever follows to try and leave us with a club.

My team Im very proud of on the night and they gave it all. A tremendous effort, sadly 1 or 2 moves did not go our way and the Norwegian ref did his country proud and as for the rival manager!!!

At one time you were mentioned as a replacement fo JP but Wotte jumped in before you..apparently Phil was sreets ahead of you on the night....If Jackson gets in at Millbrook or Shirley Warren...I can see you both being offered a position on his coaching staff.:smt054

Phil was streets ahead, there I was expecting a gentlemanly game amongst mates and then the animal cunning and win at all costs mentality set in.I admire that and so Phils underhand tricks won the day. My team can be proud how the way they played. Hamster trying to take out my star forward and midfielder all in 1 tackle was a sign of things to come.If you recall Frannies tackle on Fashanu and you get the picture. The DVD is arriving next week and Im looing forward to watching the quality football on offer, it was a bit like Steven Hawking without his chair meets David Blunkett without his helper. The shots were raining in from all directions, the ballboys Iam told had hell of a lot of trouble dodging the traffic on Northam bridge trying to retrieve some of Drogbaj and Grunties efforts.I have decided to hail Phil as the winner and accept that football is all about winning not fair play.

As for Millbrook and Shirley Warren having a team, I dont think Id be the man. Im a Shirley lad and we dont do riff raff

Where can we see this interview with MLT? Or just as transcript? Not sure how I've missed this.

I heard it twice on Wave 105 yesterday but have not seen any transcript !

The quote on the OP by Um P was totally accurate though !

MLT’s words on the telephone to SSN

“It’s been a frustrating time for us despite several attempts for clarity over the FL position over a licence related matter to which we still have no answer.

It’s not a new issue but it has to be resolved to our satisfaction in order to conclude the takeover. Despite continuing outside interference with our bid we’re committed to complete the deal as we feel it’s in the best long term interests of SFC which is obviously what I care most about.

We’re hoping that we can get this resolved shortly and the next announcement that we will make will be to confirm the takeover and I would just like to thank the staff at the Football Club and indeed the fans for their patience and their support in this matter, I can tell them it’s appreciated from all concerned.”

MLT added in a statement

“Certain legal aspects which were not part of the original terms which we agreed to enter into have only been made available within the last 48 hours.

The details of these matters are governed by a NDA which we entered into and we have adhered to in every respect”
