Winners and Losers............

Hopefully not counting too many chickens but........

Winners

Saints fans - we all have a club to support (that looked dicey last week!), with, hopefully, a completely fresh start with none of the old faces

Markus Liebherr - he will have an army of Saints supporters who will be so grateful to him for saving our club *****il the first rocky patch!) and has, potentially, a great investment

Mark Wotte - whatever happens, the guy has shown great commitment and dignity in a very difficult time

Losers

All the old board - lost loads of money and between them all managed to massively divide the fanbase. Judgement of Crouch et al was also shown to be highly dubious (e.g. Wilde support then Pinnacle)

Barclays - their stupidity in ensuring administration means that they will, hopefully, lose a lot of money

Le Tiss - will always be a legend, no matter what, but his poor judgement in fronting Pinnacle without necessraily carrying out due diligence highlighted, once again, why having a fan in charge is not necessarily a good thing

Tonight, am just breathing a huge sigh of relief we have a club left to support!

Very good post but speculating as to what MLT did or didn't so spoils it somewhat. One thing I'm sure of that assuming this all goes through Le Tiss will consider all Saints fans winner and that includes himself. He'll always be a winner in my book and no way in hell am I going to criticise the one ex Saints player who at least tried to do something.

By the way I do hope Wotte is a winner in this, he deserves to be part of our future.

Markus Liebherr

Who's the guy behind RL? Is it Markus? Next to a blonde woman too.

ps calm down all the conspiracy freaks -even if it is it just means in was in the directors box -not that him and Lowe are in cahoots.

That's Southampton's finest coroner, Keith "The Welsh FA" Wiseman (not in your picture, but just behind Lowe and you can just make out the dagger he's about to put in his back)

Well he was stripped of his Chairmanship of the FA back in the 90's!!!!!

lol. I think its quite eery how alike they look in those pictures. How many slightly overweight white businessmen with glasses can there be in this world? ;)

Whenever I read in the Echo about Coroner Keith Wiseman, I always wondered if it was the same bloke!

I had to chuckle at the not so subtle inclusion of Crouch and the omission of Lowe from his little post;)

I wonder if he'll start a thread like this again:D

But then I expect no less from washsaint especially as I know how much God meant to him...:smt007

Oh dear..........

This post had nothing to do with Lowe et al. I'm glad Lowe has gone: I'm glad they're all gone and the club can have a fresh start.

The reason Lowe was not mentioned is that Crouch and MLT helped to perpetuate the myth that was Pinnacle and could have so easily killed the club completely. If FF questioned Pinnacle and their backing, that's good enough for me: whilst not agreeing with all of FF's comments I respect the guy and it's possibel to have debate with him.

So basically you are going to be selective about our history....

Killed the club:rolleyes: For FLUUUUUCK sake....others you love so dearly made a big effort to do that ..including Lowe, Wilde and Wotte and JP..NOT forgetting Phil The Whale..:smt073

YOU miss the point...You did not need to mention Crouchey and MLT...They are real WINNERS......aNYWAY LET US LEAVE IT THERE...:smt039

As far as I am concerned, MLT hasnt lost a thing, unless he put his own money into the Pinnacle bid.

I reckon I am on safe ground if I claim that no real Saints fan will think any less of him for trying to rescue the club.

please don't bring up the Matty/Pinacle thing again, it is easily summed up really,

1/ Matty is a ****ing God like superstar for what he has done on the pitch for this club, his ONLY club.

2/ Even after playing he was a continual supporter of this club, we got talked about regulary on SSN, which frankly in the last 2/3 years was a good thing and we didn't get too many good things.

3/ Only Matty knows the truth behind his backing of Pinacle and no doubt he might come out and say something once its sorted, until then his only crime, nope, thats the wrong word, his only mistake (as we can see it without the other side of the story) was supporting a group that seemingly convinced everyone (includeing the ****ing administrator!) that they were going to bankroll us back to the PL within 5 years.

You are right, no real Saints fan should think any less of him for trying to help out.

Losers:-

Those small shareholders, like myself, who invested a few quid in shares, transferred voting rights to the Saints Trust to try and oust Lowe and have ended up doing our dough. That said I am extremely pleased with where we now are and I am looking forward to the new season.

Also lost my small shareholding, as did my son, for whom I bought shares as a birthday present some years ago. But I'd happily lose several times that amount to achieve the result that we have and anyway, they were value for money for the ability to watch the clowns in action at AGMs. I'll miss the AGMs, but am happy that we are no longer a PLC and have ridded ourselves of all that dross, all those business minnows who didn't have a clue.

I agree but I wonder who is going to run the club and whether Leon is a winner or loser.

There have been no winners, especially the small local creditors. We are all indebted to them, and I would like them to be paid somehow. But doesn't the club have to commit to eventually settling all debts in order to get the CVA?

Pretty accurate summary. Don't know if Wotte will be manager or will get an "upstairs" reward for loyalty. Annoying that Pinnacle have eaten into so much of pre-season preperation but we just have to get on with it. No sympathy for the old regime bar the rank and file fans like us who lost their shares.

That is a very good point actually and why administration really hurts small and medium-sized companies.
