Reserves v Plymouth

Master Bates

I see that Folly played! I thought he looked a decent player for us in the Prem but never came close to living up to his potential. (same as can be said for Griffit.)

More important I note that Kayne McLaggon played 69 minutes - good to see him coming back from injury. Plus the "impressive Antonio".. interesting.

just back from the game. kayne put in an awesome cross after beating their right back for our goal. we just edged the 1st half but lacked width in midfield. pardew came down to the bench for the 2nd half and was really tutoring antonio a lot and pulling him wide.

ollie lancashire got caught the wrong side of the defender a couple of times, i looked across at pards and he had his head in his hands both times! somehow they didnt manage to score off the 1st (1v1 with bart).

thought lee homes did v well at left back - didnt go on the overlap so much but looked comfortable on the ball and recovered well despite losing the ball once.

had to leave with about 20 mins left so missed their equaliser. not the most eventful games you'll see. and also freezing in the shade! i watched the same fixture last year that we dominated and won (4-1 i think) with wotte as reserve manager - nice to see so many things have changed for the better in that time, even if stewart henderson hasn't quite got the nouse to bring the ressies up to where wotte had them. a similar ability in squads too i may add.

Was this not one of John Arlotts commentaries "Or the famous one "the batsman's Holding the bowler's Willey"

Brian Johnston

In the Oval Test of 1976, England -v- West Indies, Brian Johnston refers to the players Michael Holding and Peter Willey: “The bowler's Holding, the batsman's Willey”.

PAFC OS thinks it was Antonio? :o

Either way, glad to hear Kayne did well.

EDIT - I see now that our OS thinks it was K McL so I'm with you!

That would be the Luggy that kept Plymouth up and above Wotte who you said would keep us up....so don't think you are in a position to LOL are you ! ;-)

Mate I live in Plymouth, he is doing a bad job. He is under huge pressure despite being there greatest manager ever. Even holloway them fighting for the playoffs

Not saying I disagree with your stance but what the **** does it matter where you live?

I know how good a job Guardiola did last season without stepping foot onto Spanish soil; or is Plymouth so insular you don't realise the rest of the country also has access to football results?

Just been reading some Plymouth views, they're all raving about young Antonio - saying he was our main threat.

Apparently he's ''strong'' and ''skillful'' on the run. - perfect!

I think he's impressing AP too, seeing as he's been thrown into first team action already.

I've certainly been impressed with him so far. If we could get Trotman, Waigo and him on permanent then going forward and at the back we're pretty much sorted.

I'd love for us to sign Mellis as well but there's no way IMO.

Because I can make a more informed opinion of what I can see with my own eyes and read in the local papers and know what die hard argyle supporters think.

I think that kinda helps
