jhs9ros Posted 5 December, 2009 Share Posted 5 December, 2009 yes we can go 14th but we don't want to - it would be better if some of the teams around us take points of the higher teams so we can be closer in points rather than positions to the playoffs

We need... Leeds to beat Huddersfield Hartlepool to beat Millwall Colchester and Bristol to draw Oldham to beat Norwich Yeovil to beat MK Dons Orient to beat Swindon Would put us 13 points of third and 9 off the playoffs. To have any chance of promotion we need the teams at the bottom beating those above them. It keeps the table tighly packed, so if we keep winning we could find ourselves jumping from 15th to fifth in less than a month.
West End Saint Posted 5 December, 2009 Share Posted 5 December, 2009 I dont care about anybody else as long as we win if we can keep our momentum going and keep climbing the table the rest will take care of its self I think a narrow win today another 1 0 would be nice would be ace if we can pull another 3 points clear of bottom 4 what a nice feeling if we are top half after xmas COYS

It keeps the table tighly packed, so if we keep winning we could find ourselves jumping from 15th to fifth in less than a month. Just shows our confidence when we want teams around us to beat those at the top rather than looking over our shoulders. Walsall have a good home record and a goal scoring ratio there of 2 to 1. Usually I would take the draw but if our team can keep their confidence, shape and form we could just nick this one.
SuperMikey Posted 5 December, 2009 Share Posted 5 December, 2009 Can't see us keeping a clean sheet, think we'll nick it 3-2 in the last 10 minutes. Rickie Lambert double and Morgan Schneiderlin with his first goal for Saints. Byfield will obviously score for them, jammy c*nt

Lazlo78 Posted 5 December, 2009 Share Posted 5 December, 2009 I'll have to go for a 2-2. Even without -10 Walsall would be ahead of us in the table, so they must be doing something right. That said I know next to nothing about them so this is really a stab in the dark

Out of those the ones I really want to win today would be Hartlepool, Yeovil and Orient... The other games would be nice to go our way, but I feel are less important (i.e. any result in the Colchester game is a plus for us (I'd almost rather Colchester won it to push Rovers futher down)) A win today could see us shoot up the table as far as 15th or so. Walsall will be very tough though!

SNSUN Posted 5 December, 2009 Share Posted 5 December, 2009 Happy with a draw, happier with a win. We need to go into this fixture thinking we'll win it. We can, we will IMO. Walsall are no pushovers this season, but then they haven't played us yet. 2-1 win, we'll sneak it at the death.
martyg1950 Posted 5 December, 2009 Share Posted 5 December, 2009 On form and at home you would probably expect them to edge it, will be one of the toughest tests so far. I Can't wait to see how far we've progressed because if the self belief holds we can take the points here. I certainly don't expect us to loose. COYR :-) Any tv feeds found for this one? SO16_Saint Posted 5 December, 2009 Share Posted 5 December, 2009 I've got a feeling it will be 3/4-0 for me. I thought we would smash Brighton, and we ended up losing.
