St Landrew Posted 12 December, 2009 Share Posted 12 December, 2009 Maybe he's the shy type, and you'll end up embarrassing him..? Joking, of course. It might well be a good idea to have Him and Cortese do a little stroll around, just to say Hello.

StDunko Posted 12 December, 2009 Share Posted 12 December, 2009 I'm going to St Mary's on the 26th and Colchester on the 28th. So to stop any confusion, I'm going to have my boxing day on the 27th. HTH Back to the point of the thread: I would love to see Markus and Nicola on the the pitch against Exeter so we can show our appreciation. It would allow the supporters a chance to show their true appreciation, perhaps at the Exeter game on Boxing Day? I agree 100% When you think that only a few months ago we were on the verge of winding-up ..and now I honestly can smell the promised land of the Premiership...I know it will take time but I am 100% confident that we will get there with this Chairman and the people he's put in place ...... We sing about the players but Boxing Day let's give ML his proper credit Finally a Chairman the fans and players can respect and trust !
RedAndWhite91 Posted 12 December, 2009 Share Posted 12 December, 2009 Liebherr deserves praise and credit. Was pleased to be singing about him today, would love to see him on the pitch as each stand stands and claps him.
Professor Posted 12 December, 2009 Share Posted 12 December, 2009 boxing day is always 26th december...........IMO You are right Dan. Boxing Day is always 26th Dec. When it falls on a Saturday, the Monday is a substitute Bank Holiday. When Christmas Day falls on a Sat, both the Mon and Tues are substitute BHs, as will happen next year. So this year we are Playing Exeter on Boxing Day and Colchester on the Boxing Day Bank Holiday.
John B Posted 13 December, 2009 Share Posted 13 December, 2009 Finally a Chairman the fans and players can respect and trust ! Just because he has bought the club it does not mean we can trust him. Colinjb Posted 13 December, 2009 Share Posted 13 December, 2009 Just because he has bought the club it does not mean we can trust him. Lets enjoy the football and see what happens While I respect the sentiment, he has my trust until somethings happens to show it's misplaced. As things stand though, no reason to doubt him! St. Jason Posted 13 December, 2009 Share Posted 13 December, 2009 If you want to show your appreciation send him a Christmas card! I agree with you mate, I love the way these two men go about their business, quietly, professionally. We've had a chairman who loved the limelight, I'll stick with these two thanks. I think the best way we can show our gratitude is to buy season tickets, half season tickets, lets fill the ground!!!!!!

La BoIS Saint Posted 13 December, 2009 Share Posted 13 December, 2009 Really not sure that singing songs about the chairman is a good idea. landford.saint Posted 14 December, 2009 Share Posted 14 December, 2009 Look, I'm not going to mention this again. Ever. Boxing Day falls on 28th December this year. That's it. Last time I mention it. Today. Boxing day is the English name for the Feast of St. Stephen (rememember Good King Wenceslas wandering around in the snow) which is 26th December. Christmas Bank Holidays are Christmas day and the first week day following it. In this case 28th December. But we have all argued over this for weeks now, I just thought I would try and keep it going up until new year. :-) and winky thing.
Sour Mash Posted 14 December, 2009 Share Posted 14 December, 2009 I cringed when the "Liebherr" songs started up, just shows how fickle football fans are, you won't hear those songs if we lose our next couple of games. I am very grateful that he came in and invested and they've done an excellent job so far, but its all purely a business investment by him, nothing more, nothing less and the idea of hero worshiping anyone for that is a bit stupid in my humble opinion.
