Guided Missile Posted 15 April, 2010 Share Posted 15 April, 2010 (edited) ...and with that in mind, I have already blocked the weekend off and have started to make preparations. Being on a Saturday, it'll be best to get settled in a (5 star) London hotel on the Friday night. Following the inevitable victory, staying the Saturday night will be a necessity. Brunch on Sunday and a lazy trip back, dreaming of a trip in 2010/2011 to Fratton to spank the cheating matelots and repeat it at St. Mary's for good measure. I have to be honest, I'm getting a hard on just thinking about it... ...good as the Johnson's Paint Trophy party was, I think this will be the time to go large...very large... ...and if not, an outright promotion the following season... Guided Missile Posted 15 April, 2010 Author Share Posted 15 April, 2010 I admire your optimism. You see, I was thinking about that. The problem is that it is far worse to have some cr@ ppy trip booked for that weekend and miss the party than to plan for it and it not to happen. F**k, I want it so much... When it comes to Saints, i've learnt that being negative is the way forward. Anticipate the worst, and the chances are you'll be right and won't be too disappointed. Get your hopes up and you are setting yourself up for an almighty fall. P.S. Sorry to **** on the parade.

marc_saint Posted 15 April, 2010 Share Posted 15 April, 2010 (edited) Me and ten others are due to be going to France that day for a weeks holiday. In fact we'll be in the middle of the Channel so wouldn't even have any radio reception. However...... I have a plan! (If the impossible becomes a reality!) They clear off to France..... I go to Wembley and see us with promotion! :-) After have a couple of beers in central London Train from Victoria to Portsmouth 10:30pm Ferry to Caen getting in at 6am 5 hour train ride leaving Caen at 8am to Rennes via Le Mans The wife then collects me for the hours drive to our house! Easy!! :-) Edited 15 April, 2010 by marc_saint
so22saint Posted 15 April, 2010 Share Posted 15 April, 2010 We're guaranteed to get to the final - why, because it ruins my wife and I's night away in London seeing Paul Weller, and we're guaranteed to win it as I'm driving to the South of France on the Sunday... Money on it

suewhistle Posted 15 April, 2010 Share Posted 15 April, 2010 Hmmm, how many can you cram in a Westerly Centaur; they'll not get you as wet as a Sadler... I may have a course to teach on Mondays so it would be a pain getting there and back from Italy. Jack Posted 16 April, 2010 Share Posted 16 April, 2010 While I'm extremely confident that the Huddersfield and Col Utd will drop enough points for us to make it if we get maximum points, I'm not so sure we can do exactly that. I can see us missing out by 2 points. I pray that I'm wrong, and Saints prove us all wrong, for the right reason for once. In Pards we believe.
