New song?

To the tune of 'I just can't get enough'

When I see Southampton,

I go out of my head,

I just can't get enough,

I just can't get enough,

All the goals that Rickie scores,

and the saves that Kelvin makes,

I just can't get enough,

I just can't get enough,

We slip and slide down the football league,

But I just can't seem to get enough, oh,

Do do do do do do do do,

do do do do do do do do,

do do do do do do do do,

do do do dooo

x2

Then repeat.

Celtic sing it, starts on about 35 seconds.

Thoughts?

Well if everyone that at least liked the song told their group of mates they go with and start it in pubs before or in the ground etc.. it could kick off that way. If enough people have heard it then it should work?

The only song with more than a few words that has taken off in recent times needed song sheets printed to get it going. If that doesn't happen.... the song will not get sung, as Saints fans are generally quite s**t.

indeed...

watching that video clip in the first post was pretty good...litterally thousands of fans around the ground all singing it...and not too fast...we would get about 1000 people max and it was fade out for being too quick..

This place IS the best place for new songs (that aren't just a few words), BUT, just like the Lambert song when it was on here.

1) It needs to be popular (so this one has already failed with lack of replies)

2) Once it's agreed and is popular, a thread is needed to say "This is the new song. Sing it"

3) Song sheets at games help

4) Sing the f**ker

not completely true. i got that rubbish barnard one started last year in block 41 when smashed off my tits by just singing it over and over again with my brother and mates until people joined in. no one sang it for about 5 mins but in my battered state i didn't care and eventually people started singing it. i now regret that though cos that song is jid

Brilliant suggestion but if the morons can't master Oh when the Saints without spazzing out, I don't hold much hope for this being sung :(((

Maybe the more intelligent ones can sing the verses, and just leave the "do do's" to them? ;)

Exactly. Top song, but will never catch on, we can't sing OWTS all that well. Our fans are incapable of singing football songs "properly".

Redknapp in a coma i hope i hope it's serious

There were times when i could have murdererered him

And i really hope something horrible happens to him

We really hope, he dont pull through

Redknapp in a coma i hope its serious........

This. Pubs and word of mouth are the best way to bring new songs to peoples attention, imo.

Hey Nige, don't make it bad,

Take a sad club and make us better,

Promotion, up to the Championship,

Is where you start, to make us better

Hammond, don't be afraid,

You were made to go out and lead us,

The minute when we win another game

Then you begin to make it better

And anytime you feel the pain,

Rickie, refrain

don't carry the team upon your shoulders

For well you know that it's a fool

who plays it cool

By scoring an-other 30 yarder,

Na na na na na

na na na na

Hey Lee, don't let me down,

You have no bandage, around your hand now,

Help us, by scoring lots of more goals,

then you can start to make us better

So keep it out and don't let in

Fonte, Defend

You're waiting for someone to defend with

And don't you know that it's just you,

Adam, you'll do

Your better then Messi at Barcelona,

Na na na na na

na na na na yeah

Cortese, don't make it bad

Take a sad club and make us better

Promotion, back to the Premier League,

Then you begin to make us better

Better, better, better, better, better, oh

Na, na na na na na na

na na na na, LIBHERR

Na, na na na na na na

na na na na, LIBHERR

Na, na na na na na na

na na na na, LIBHERR

Na, na na na na na na

na na na na, LIBHERR

x how ever many times.

Wow, that's quite awful. And would take a long time to sing.

Why can't we pick a much slower anthemic song with a short chorus for a ditty? Slower songs have much more impact and our lot aren't very good at learning songs with lots of words (e.g. the Lambert song)

I'm sure others can come up with some good words, but how about something like the chorus of Vienna by Ultravox as an example?

One problem with this is it includes 2 players. They wont be here forever. Include legends like Le Tissier, Stokes or Leibherr and it will stick for a long time

This one, now do it., do it tonight.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAG_4w425q0

ha ha, it reminds me of the carpenter tapes my old dear used to play in the car on long journeys. Good tunes.

But if we wish to be original why not try it with this which could be sung at Fratton...

Why do skates suddenly appear every time we come here,

Just like me they long to be close to youuuu,

Why do coins fall down from the skyyyyy every time they say hiiiiiiiii,

Just like me they long to be close to youuuu,

der der da da da da der

etc.

This thread is hilarious, in fact all these "new song" ones are. Saints fan base is full of young dinlows, scruffy c*nts, birds, miserable old c*nts and people that take delight in stitching up their own, meaning there is a real lack of terrace culture in our fan base and is emphasised by the lame attempts at songs here. Griffos attempts are admirable but attempting to get any new or good songs going is like fighting the Taliban with a pen knife. Most of our fans struggle to even sing our own songs properly, in fact, quite embarassingly, our own anthem sounds better when sung by Spurs than us, because simply they sing it properly. Look this Spurs singing OWTSGMI, slow and loud with arms out streached, none of this clapping at 1000000 mph, desperate to speed it up. Now compare it with our lame attempts. Puts you lot to shame.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dTgh5YqEww&feature=related

Even Blackpool did it reasonably well against Chelsea last night.

I would like to see, especially for Bompey, a take on that United song "Nothing at all"

"This is how it feels to be Bournemouth,

This is how it feels to be small,

This is how it feels when your team wins nothing at all, nothing at all, nothing at all"

If perhaps a bit rich coming from Saints you could change the 'wins' to 'means' OR "Compared to Pompey your rivalry is nothing at all".

Would prefer that to be sung for Pompey though, otherwise Bompey will go on about us having our own songs for them..

Redknapp in a coma I hope, I hope it's serious,

Redknapp in a coma I hope, I hope it's serious,

Die die die die die die Redknapp die die,

Die die die die die die Redknapp die die

Understand the singing songs about Bompey but this is quite good

Last line should be compared to Pompey your rivalry your rivalry means nothing at all, would be good
