Plymouth Away New Date

should take a good following to both plymouth and brentford games as they will be crucial. hopefully get a good allocation. i think we will get quite a few for the plymouth game.

As they've already sold a lot of home and away tickets for a match that would have been only 10 days away, it would take a lack of interest on Argyle's part regarding the new date for us to get a bigger allocation.

Weird playing them in our first home and last away games of the season.

Two away games in a short space of time. Going to be very tight. As mentioned above, I expect this to be a crucial game and us needing a result in order to get into automatic places. Kind of hope that Plymouth will be relegated by then.

I'd rather they be safe by then and take a foot of the gas. Relegated teams always seem to improve.

yeah exactly, so as both teams are playing on Saturday why isnt this a Tuesday night - 3 May ?

because they will get a bigger crowd on Bank Holiday and they need all the money they can get at the moment

Also we wil benefit as we will take at least 2,500 fans on Monday, especially as it's last away game of season but would be less for midweek

Oh I can see that yeah, but all the backing in the world isnt going to help if the players are knackered or carrying injuries from 48 hours earlier.

Have to agree with TDD re: The Barbican. Though if you do go, try not to be the one muppet who jumps in the water while his mates cheer him on who then have to quickly change their cheers to shouts as a fishing boat is rapidly approaching him.

Anyway. I'm annoyed as I was planning on going and now I'll be back at sea. Bugger.

So why could this not be played on the tuesday after (29th) as neither team are playing then??... we have no game between 22 march and 2nd april now with games going on on 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th march and 1st april... odd choice and table will look very different by 2nd april I feel.

There are international games on the 26th and 29th, hence the game being called off in the first place...

Oh right. Well still think it could have been one of the other remaining days. Its not like their whole team is playing in the internationals. Not looking forward to the anxious wait between 22nd and 2nd..

absolute boll*x

just spoken to ticket office and this is not the case at all only a few tickets sold so far

Well either the ticket office is lying or you are. I asked the allocation as my card was being processed and he said around 2100. I asked how many are left, he said 600.

When I rang the ticket office a couple of hours ago to buy 2 tickets, I was told by the guy that there are not many left.

Surely with them desperate for cash, a 19k capacity stadium, an average home attendance of only 9k and a top attendance being the local derby of 14k they are not going to turn us down for more tickets if requested...

Depends whether it'll cost them more to move those who have existing tickets elsewhere or to change the segregation / policing than they'll get from selling extra tickets. They'll almost certainly have sold some tickets from all areas outside the away section already.

You could be right ..Looks like the away stand only takes a max of 2200

Whilst it should be a fantastic p!ss up I don't think it's the best timing as far as trying to get promoted is concerned.

I don't like the idea of playing catch-up right until the final week where the pressure will be immense, especially as it's more than likely Plymouth will still be fighting for their lives - I can't see them being 6 points adrift or clear before that fixture.

Having said that, what a day it would be if both us and Plymouth are 3 points clear going into that game and we both needed a draw.
