Don't shoot the messenger but I have it on very good authority he is going to Manchester united!!

Apparently it's a done deal and contracts have already been signed.

Shame

usually people posting such things would get shot down..but you have come out with nuggets in the past...

shame

Does that mean we get Owen?;)

Really think he would have been better served staying for a season in the NPC.

Shame if true,as long we have driven a hard bargain and got a good deal out of it.

Let's hope we invest in some talent and spend it wisely.

sizeable fee up front, plus sell-on fee or appearances/International caps fee, plus Owen coming our way please....can still do a job at CCC level.....

with his eyes closed..he is playing for man u right now....I think he is good enough for about 15 premier league sides..easily

A pity that we couldn't keep him one more season, but although improbable, not beyond the bounds of possibility that we can loan him this coming season as part of the agreement.

However, he is only one player and for the fee we are likely to get for him (and the millions to come from selling Puncheon ;)) we can get in several higher standard players to help take us to the next level in the second division.

If true, then its a great shame, and double disappointment if he has signed for manU.

If it is the case then lets hope NC has tied up a mega deal, and we spend it wisely. As others suggest thenPilkington would soften the blow (when he's fit again).

Until it is on the O\S then I shall file this as a 'rumour' despite the fact that nearly everyone else believes the OP. I still fully expect Chambo to leave this summer though and if he doesn't it will be a massive bonus.

He better see this deal through, otherwise he will get a reputation as untrustworthy. If I remember rightly, he signed for Arsenal in January and managed to welch on that deal and carry on playing for Saints.

Its obviously disappointing if true but unlike with previous chairmen/boards I have no doubt that a)we will get a very good fee, b)most of it will be up front, c) there will be a sell-on clause and add-ons and perhaps most importantly d)it will all go back into team strengthening.
