I know some in Britain like the whole don't look back in anger thing in the immediate aftermath of a murder but maybe some people in other countries see that for what it is.

A symptom of a right wing, gun-toting society?

That's your take. It's not her message as I see and hear it. Restraint is "his death shouldn't have happened, and while we should all unite, I'll carry Charlie's message". She carries the message of sadness and divide, not sadness and unity. She had a platform to promote some calm, not speak as she did the maga lot.

A big chunk of her message is dedicated to asking people to join turning point USA in memory of her husband. Regardless, I'm not sure tone policing a widow in the immediate aftermath of the murder of her husband, no doubt whilst she's contemplating raising her children alone and potentially for the rest of her life is the way to go . Yeah maybe she could have said things a bit more calmly or differently but that's easy to say when it hasn't happened to you.

An ineffective waste of time that doesn't deal with the root causes of an issue and instead dooms a society to repeat it again and again. Oh and guns in America are retarded.

Thats clearly not what she is saying. She is talking about how the actions of his killers is going to push her to carry on his work.  People are mocking his death online. She is restrained.

I think that people are looking for an angle because of his political views. Unlike other high profile deaths I don’t think there will be social disorder despite the strength of feeling. So far we have seen vigils and prayers.

Why would there be social disorder when a white gun totin' loon from a good ole' Christian family kills a racist white bloke who advocates for gun totin' loons from Christian families?

Indeed. Some groups just have lower impulse control and are more predisposed to disorder.

No, you've missed the point.

That is one weird article!

His mum posted a picture and likened him to a meme 6 years ago - when he was 16 - so he's definitely, 100% far right!

Americans love to polarize(sic) everything.

So far, there is zero evidence he's FAR LEFT and plenty to suggest he's more likely right wing:

- Mormon

- Likes guns

- Trump family

- Groyper slogans on bullets

- Dressed as a Pepe groyper character

- Groypers hate Kirk

- Dressed as Trump

The only FAR LEFT evidence is:

- an unattributed quote that has been removed from its source (the Guardian) that he was "leftist"

- something about him having a trans flatmate that, as far as I can see, orginates from Fox and The Daily Mail (so probably bullshit)

Plus, the anecdotal fact that political terrorism is modern times is, statistically, much more likely to be right wing.

Which is fair enough.

But I was commenting only on that article that stated he was far right because his mum posted a picture over 6 years ago.

Point of order, as most seem to have forgotten as ever in their haste to points score, Far Right/Far left...pretty much the same thing. Both are fascists who refuse to accept the other.
