after the game...

firstly heard from a good source that surman is staying and lallana is going.

secondly the club are trying to do a deal to bring baird back on loan.

i have no reason not to believe them as it comes from a very good source.

also i saw lawrie mac and dave merrington in serious discussion about finances after the game, spoke to dave merrington and asked him if he was going to sort the club out and he replied 'chance would be a fine thing, ive tried'

also the kids got a picture with lee sharpe after the game,he was brilliant with the kids and a top bloke.

draw your own conclusions.

So that would be Lallana going to Fulham then with Baird the other way....

Would like, if Surman was to go to Reading, Alex Pearce and Alan Bennett in exchange with a loan deal for Leroy Lita..

My conclusion is that the "good source" was a taxi driver and the "very good source" was a steward, maybe even a head steward.

Nothing against you "Lorsdwoodsaints" but the amount of posters on here with "sources" is frickin hilarious. Every single member of staff at St Mary's must rush home after work each day and spill all to their friends to post on TSW.

And quite how do you "see" two people in serious discussions about finances -could they not have been talking about the weather, what they were having for tea or how much they'd like to have a threesome with Lucy Pinder?

Perhaps these conclusions are nearer the actual truth...

Here we are only 4 days into the new year and the old ITK and source problem has once again arisen. It's gonna be a good one......

Come on guys - its pieces of the jigsaw from posters like this that make this messageboard so important. We can all make our own minds up on which bits to add salt to.

I admire posters who start these threads... we wouldnt have a messageboard worth tapping away on otherwise.

sorry wrong on both counts,i will never reveal the source but it is somebody who has a good strike rate and is involved in the media.

i was stood behind lawrie and dave in the car park and they didnt realise i was there,my son was waiting for an autograph and i overheard a conversation which included the words finances and money............is that good enough? i dont know exactly what the conversation was as i didnt catch it all..............for all i know it could be about the price of sliced bread, that is why i suggested you draw your own conclusions.

How do you see two people involved "in serious discussion about finances". Are you a good lip reader?

Because of that comment, anything else you say about "sources" becomes totally uncreditworthy (if that's a word) IMO.

Oh well, if it included the words "finances" and "money" in the middle of a public carpark it must have been serious stuff.

I will draw my own conclusions thanks - yet another poster to add to the list of BS merchants.

I was stood in the car park, after the game, talking to my mate. We were talking about how to get home. He said "let's get a cab" and I said "what, with these finances! I just haven't got the money".

Draw your own conclusions

(or accept that I got the bus home)

I would have thought that a lot of people walking through the carpark last night would have had the same conversation about finances and money, its a constant theme with the **** Lowe in charge.

So Lordsword over egged the pudding on this one but the snippets on the players is interesting stuff.

Don't flame the guy do as he says and make your own minds up.

It is funny though... sure lets have the rumours and gossip from the HP and Heinz 57, but FFS take it with the pinch of salt it deserves - I can just imagine Merry and Pippin walking througfh the car park' talking high finance' - Sorry merry, you may have tried, but you failed for one simple reason, you and your colleagues simply could not come up with the necessary cash - that does not need expertise in high finance, but simple maths will suffice - and anyone who really believes that Lowe, Wilde and Crouch + ALLthe other shareholders should by some moral and divine code simply gift the club to a group of tin pot local businessmen and a former manager, who between them have raised a FEW mil or so are in a dream world...

Adam Lallana has no idea about such a move. He expects to be a Saints player for the rest of this season at least.

Source? His father who confirmed the same to me on Friday.

This "going to Fulham" has been around for some time, and I mean months. Adam and his Agent have no knowledge or approach.

Yesterday just before the match one of my sporadic sources (he told me about the Molyneau signing before it was announced) said he had heard Surman was going on loan to Fulham with Baird coming here on loan in return. Having spoken to Drew's dad only a few minutes before, I was able to put him right on that rumour.

Pretty good sources, would you not agree.

Of couse someone might come in with an offer that Saints feel they cannot turn down and if it means first team football in the Premership for Drew or Adam, may be they would go but they are not thinking about that at the moment. They feel they have unfinished business with Saints.

The mere idea of Dave Merrington "sorting out" our finances makes me tremble with fear!

Nice man, average broadcaster, questionable manager but NO financial wizzard......

Agreed - but he was linked to the so called takeover deal... the last piece of optimism left to Saints fans.

Makes me think about Theo's Dad, who was thought to be so pro Saints and his kid's development that he believed that the best place for him was to stay and rebuff Arsenal. Think he even said so. Then...

Still, I'd have thought that getting Baird back on loan will be a really good move, as long as he still is okay with Davis...

Thanks for this WS

If we can get daily (hoping he is still going to be good enough and injury free) he will make our defence much stronger as will Baird should he come home. Keeping Adam and Drew and also getting Saga back we will look like we have a pretty strong team.

Question then will be can JP turn things around? I am guessing there will be a hatfull of managers that could work wonders with this team

-----------KD------------

Baird--Perry--Daily--Skacel

-----Morgan--Drew-------

Lallana-------------Holmes

-----------BWP-----------

----------Saga-----------

or

--------------KD----------------

Baird----Perry----Daily----Skacel

Lallana--Morgan---Drew---Holmes

-----------BWP---Saga----------

Add Euell into the mix and some of the kids coming through which IMO are good enough but need to be introduced allot slower than they are I think on paper we have a playoff team.

if only huh.

To be fair I think anyones dad could be turned if they had the likes of Arsenal's top guns contacting them saying how much they will look after there kid and so on. Not sure how much clout Fulham have got though so that could be better news for us?

Did Baird and Davis fall out?

Things are going to happen inthe next two weeks that make the last three years look like a tea party.

I know what this is!!!!!!!!

My source told me, not last week, but the week before, I think. It was definatly before Christmas I know that as we were discussing the Plymouth game.

Apparently, and don't crucify me if I am wrong as i am only the messenger, is that they are planning of bringing in and changing, due to certain factors, a number of, and the precise number escapes me as I am not sure if he mentioned a number or not, or it may be only a few, any way, where was I.....Ahh yes, they are looking to replacing certain elements at St Marys stadium, and bringing in new elements to replace the ones that are currently here, as they see them as possibly being the problem.

in a nutshell they are looking at replacing a number of the stainless steel washers with nitrile ones. I can only assume it must be some sort of bi-metallic corrosion problem, or Galvanic corrosion problem as you will. I can only guess that there must be some sort of problem between the stainless steel washers and the mild steel used in construction, although I haven't noticed any. Bloody dis-similar metals.

If I find out any more I'll let you all know.

Aledgedly.
