Good from Jess Glynne https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/clyjggjplyqo

Whilst the boats do my head in, this is really tacky even for the GOP and MAGA. I’m sure BNP/Reform voters will like it though.

There will be a demand for something similar to ICE tactics here soon. Feature on news about all these mini marts being run by organised crime using immigrants and wrecking peoples way of life. All these shops still running and ‘employing’ asylum seekers.

There’s a few towns in the south Midlands where there’s not that much custom and looking iffy. Still no excuse to accompany raid videos with music though. Comes naturally to someone who commissions real estate videos in Gaza.

Child trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell has been moved from a Florida federal prison to a minimum-security prison in Bryan, Texas.  Is Trump is going to pardon her.

Even Stormy couldn't get that button mushroom to bloom.

What are the odds on another “suicide” in jail?

The Democrats launched an investigation into possible collusion between Trump and Putin. Now, Attorney General Pam Bondi has started an investigation into the people who carried out the Trump / Putin probe.

Presumably, the next time the Dems get control of Congress they will start investigating Bondi's investigators.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/aug/03/donald-trump-mental-fitness

"A high-profile example came in mid-July, when Trump claimed his uncle, the late professor John Trump, had taught Ted Kaczynski, better known as the Unabomber, at MIT.

Trump recalled: “I said: ‘What kind of a student was he, Uncle John? Dr John Trump.’ I said: ‘What kind of a student?’ And then he said: ‘Seriously, good.’ He said: ‘He’d correct – he’d go around correcting everybody.’ But it didn’t work out too well for him.”

The problem is: that cannot possibly be true. First, Trump’s uncle died in 1985, and Kaczynski was only publicly identified as the Unabomber in 1996. Second, Kaczynski did not study at MIT.

“The story makes no sense whatsoever, but it’s told in a very warm, reflective way, as if he’s remembering it,” Segal said. “This level of thinking really has been deteriorating.”"

So, what you're saying is that Trump's uncle worked for a security unit so secret, that they had to fake his death. And as part of his work for that unit, he taught the guy who went onto become the Unabomber. As with Trump's uncle details of the guy's life would have to be changed, such as his education? 🙂

Following on from South Park's exposure of Trump's limitations, they turned their attention to Kristi Noem, and she was not happy;

NVIDIA and AMD selling computer chips to China was banned because it was a national security risk.

NVIDIA and AMD selling the same computer chips to China and giving 15% of the revenue to the US Government is now fine.

Donnie calls in the National Guard to boost law and order in DC, and to help protect the seat of Government - having pardoned almost all of the January 6th insurrectionists.

Ladies and gentlemen, The Leader of the Free World, in his own words;

And people were concerned about Biden's mental accuity.

I know, it's cruel to mock the afflicted.

So. Bloke from the streets who rose to lead his country through any means necessary Vs a twat with a shit load of money who knows how to waste it.

This is modern politics. At least the russian model was a meritocracy.

Well, that seems to have been a waste of time and effort.

In fact, we seem to have gone backwards because those additional sanctions on Russia seem to have disappeared.

Has it?

Is there even a proposal for a ceasefire, let alone something tangible ? Are the threatened sanctions any nearer to being implemented ? Has Putin gained publicity whilst Donnie the Deal fails to deliver ? Are Ukrainian children any safer this morning ?

Win - win for both of them really. Putin gets to look like he has forced the west, and the US in particular, to the negotiating table with his 'military operation'. Trump gets to tell his gimp supporters that he's a master negotiator and will be the one to smooth over a peace deal in Ukraine.

Of course none of that has any basis in reality but if enough of their supporters believe it, they wont care.

Guess we will know over the next few days, given Zelensky is on his way over to see Trump and has not ruled out meeting Putin

Trump said that there was a 25% chance of not getting a “deal.” I think that most of us thought there was a 100% chance of not getting a deal.

Putin has been playing Trump like a cheap fiddle all the way along and the only person who can’t see that is Trump.

You have to feel for Zelensky. Not only is he having to deal with one of the biggest sociopaths in recent times as an enemy, but his main ally is in Putin’s pocket.

Will Zelensky get the same red carpet welcome, greeted by Trump at the airport ? Or will Trump and Vance double-team him again, trying to humiliate him into accepting the unacceptable ?

Who knows. That part is all theatre anyway

either way, the USA clearly want this to end / want out, which is fair enough given the massive amount of money/resources they are throwing at it.

All Trump is concerned about is winning the Nobel Peace Prize but he is stretching the deal out a tad having promised all and sundry that he would sort it out in 24 hrs.

I thought Trump said they were making money out of it now?

Two more weeks / 20 days / 50 days / very soonly. Then there will be consequences, really tremendous consequences. They say to me, "we haven't seen those sorts of consequences any more".
